Great breakfast that was included. Clean room with a great balcony

This property is immaculate, so clean & well kept inside & out. The staff was great, especially the gentleman that worked the lobby bar during our stay (I can’t remember his name), but he was just amazing. We had lunch one day & cocktails each evening & he made our stay so delightful, so helpful with suggestions around town & such a warm person. He made us feel so welcome & fun to chat with. The location is perfect & the breakfast buffet plenty. We also appreciated free parking. My one complaint is the bed, that was the hardest bed we’ve ever experienced. Like sleeping on a hard wood box, it was very painful & we honestly couldn’t sleep, which put a damper on our days exploring. If they could alter e bedding, this would literally be a perfect accommodation.

Loved the outdoor pool and breakfast was decent. Rooms are a bit dated and not as nice as I expected for the price but the location was close to the water and close to a ton of restaurants and nightlife.

This hotel is lovely. Very nice pools, a big lounge, nearly nightly entertainment. The location is good if you are able to walk a bit up a hill. Breakfast was good, front desk staff helpful. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Amazing buffet breakfast lovely relaxing indoor pool

lovely hotel with great views, pool etc I only have two complaints - the dinner buffet in the main dining room was just so-so. The other complaint is that I called an Uber for an early morning flight and the driveway is only a oneway no place for a car to turn around - I would have had to drag a heavy suitcase up an incline to meet the driver on the street, luckily it was very early & the driver backed all the way out of the driveway.

Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel und sind auch weiterhin sehr zufrieden. Besonders positiv sind auch Frühstück und Abendessen zu erwähnen. Die Getränkepreise beim essen und an der Bar sind etwas hoch aber noch angemessen. Der Innenpool ist zwar etwas klein und mit Säulen auch etwas verbaut aber zur richtigen Zeit nicht so voll und dann reicht auch der Platz. Das Abendprogramm ist gut, würde aber wahrscheinlich etwas besser besucht sein wenn das Programm nicht zum Teil mit den Essenszeiten kollidieren würde. Andererseits reicht der Platz in der Lobby an manchen Abenden auch nicht aus damit alle die möchten, dass Programm verfolgen können. Die Bar könnte am Abend etwas länger geöffnet sein. Die Innenstadt ist zu Fuss erreichbar, es gibt aber auch am Hotel Busshaltestellen. Insgesamt ist es ein sehr gutes Hotel, wir kommen sicher wieder.

The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of hot and cold products. Staff were extremely helpful; we were checked in promptly and given all information about the room and facilities. On leaving the reception staff were able to arrange a taxi to the airport at a reasonable cost.

Hôtel bien situé et très propre. Piscine semi ouverte avec jacuzzi et piscine extérieur avec transats . Buffet très correct et variés. Personnel très agréable. Chambre confortable et bien équipé avec vue sur la mer. Hall avec des petits coins cosy. Proche du centre de Funchal. Je recommande Je recommande

We have stayed here many times. The front desk staff always remember us. They are very friendly and helpful. The garden view room we stayed in this time was very spacious and quiet. The hotel is in an excellent location with lots of restaurant choices nearby and now the Madeira Museum of Modern Art just around the corner with many musical performances.

Friendly staff, clean room with an excellent walk in shower. Good meals in the morning and evening. I appreciated the choices available for evening buffet meals.

The room was spotless; however we found the beds to be very hard, and the pillows were old and worn out. We had expected to see decent shampoos and conditioner in the bathroom. The staff was mostly courteous. The coffee at the breakfast tasted like instant coffee; sub par.

The staff were excellent. The room large with two terraces facing in different directions . One overlooked the pool and had a table and chairs but the other was a perfect spot for the New Year fireworks . I slept extremely well. Breakfast buffet had a large fresh choice and chef who cooked to order . Highly recommend

Le séjour s’est bien passé, la chambre supérieure était bien grande, mais il n’y avait pas assez de Meubles donc elle paraissait vide. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et le staff gentil et serviable. Le parking disponible sur place était très pratique et l’hôtel est près du centre de Funchal (faisable à pied). Nous avons apprécié aussi la piscine et le massage.

Bien personnel très sympathique

Location excellent, staff friendly, nice sea view. A bit expensive.
