Not a great stay rooms very small

The property has list its lustre that it had, ...having used the location for over 6 years this stay felt different. Uber drivers used to be able to drive in to pick and drop off passengers.. now one has to pay to enter the promises. The customer service that the staff had had gone....the Shuttle driver couldn't wait for 2 minutes while we picked up our luggage. This is one facility that i liked in Johannesburg..but all good things come to an end.

The property is near the Airport and its very classy also many restaurants and shops around

This is probably the most inappropriate $203 I paid for a hotel at the airport which has it turned out The room was terribly small, the TV didn’t work even after they came to change the battery in a remote control and if you call 1010, you would be on the phone for ever for someone to come and give you a hand. It is far away from the casinos and restaurants and so I will not advise anyone to ever book a room in this hotel and Expedia you know better than to advertise this hotel. So if you fly to Johannesburg, do not go there. I had to pay another extra $12 for a private car to take me to the terminal because the shuttle only works from 7 o’clock on. Not happy.

We used the free transport from the airport which was so nice. The hotel was clean and staff were nice. Many dining options as well.

Nice hotel. Not too crowded. For the facilities they claim to have you have to walk to another nearby hotel.

This hotel is elegant! Comfortable and clean. Great breakfast every morning, beautiful garden/pool area just the other side of the casino. Many choices to eat and drink. Best of all is the awesome service in every area of the property. I really enjoyed my stay.

Quality of service was excellent. Staff is fantastic. Rooms were fantastic. Everything about the facility and grounds are outstanding.

The reason for 3 stars, we were given a room by the highway although the hotel was pretty much empty this time of year We stayed here before and we got a very nice room and no noise Traffic and noise from it, did not die down until about 1 am, and started again at 5 am. We were very tired but could not sleep

Great breakfast... 10 minutes drive from JNB airport.. Lot of restaurants next to hotel.

Our check was at 3pm, we arrived at 4pm to find out that the rooms were not ready yet. We were asked to return at 5pm and to our disappointment had to wait another 30mins for the reception to receive feedback from housekeeping. Eventually we checked in, and was told maintenance will be coming to fix a leaking handbasin. We walked through the passages that reeked of tobacco smoke!! Rooms are tiny for the price we paid; the worst experience was the tiny little bites we endured soonest we slept on the beds which was most uncomfortable, too soft and wobbly mattress with very thin duvet ; clearly poor quality linen! Hardly slept through the night due to the severe scratching from the dust mites or bed bugs as we couldn’t hear or see one mosquito.

Shower head had not been cleaned in years! At breakfast found hair in several of the dishes. Other than that, the stay was OK.

Air conditioner in the room doesn't work well.

Very good breakfast and location for my purpose (close to airport, to RSA office and CP premises). Availability of diverse resto options at Emperor Palace. Just difficult to access the pool as have to go for a long walk
