Decent quality hotel in a good location. My only criticism was that there was a constant smell of urine emanating from the sink waste/overflow. It was clear that the plumbing was not done properly as there should be a trap to stop this from happening.

The hotel was generally nice and clean but like most hotels, the foyer gave a more stylish impression than the actual rooms. The decor in the rooms was dated and basic. There was AC but it was very subtle and even at the lowest temp and highest fan, it barely touched the temperature in the room. This was early June so I would not like to be in the hotel in peak summer when the temperatures would be much higher. The reception were all very friendly and attentive. There was one man in the restaurant bar though who was rude and abrupt like we were an inconvenience to him. The bar/restaurant itself was ok, although quite expensive compared to local bars and restaurants. The menu was ok but it wasn’t a relaxing space - it felt very transactional and more geared to business people than tourists. Breakfast was a decent range of choice but was very expensive compared to the local economy at about £17 per person. We didn’t use the gym or pool but we did have a look. There was no one there, and no staff to ask any questions. It all looked ok but the pool is very small so you wouldn’t get much exercise in it, but it was a nice little area. The hotel was very well situated for the old town, just a few minutes walk and there were plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. For the price I think it was fairly reasonable and I would stay there again if I visited Bucharest again, but not in the height of summer as I don’t think I would get any sleep due to the ineffective aircon.

No ac in the room so it was stuffy. Seemed to be the entire hotel, perhaps some policy of not turning ac on until summer?! Fridge wasn’t working. Mattresses were old, shower cabin was dripping, sink was smelling like waste water when you turned on the water. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choices.

Tolles Hotel. Sehr zentral gelegen. Nette Leute und ein gutes Restaurant und Pool. Würde immer wieder hierher kommen. Kostenloser Schirmverleih war bei dem Regenwetter auch super.

Det mesta var som förväntat men städningen av rummet var under all kritik. Golvet var smutsigt och fullt med smulor från tidigare gäst, de hade inte städat/dammsugit golvet.

Hôtel très bien situé proche de tout pour visiter a pied. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas ouvrir les fenêtres. Le seul point négatif serait la température de la piscine. Glacée. Impossible d en profiter

Nice and clean hotel conveniently located short walk from Old Town. Small but ok gym and a pool that unfortunately was VERY COLD.

The Novotel city centre Bucharest has a superb location. Right on Victoria Street/Boulevards, old city is only minutes away, easy location for guided and walking tours. The Main Street is full with coffee shop, dessert shops and restaurants all with different style and vibe for every taste, and on weekends transportation is not allowed so street and road are open for pedestrians. The reception staff were always helpful and welcoming especially Alexander. We got help with recommendations and directions. We only used the hotel lounge once as we wanted to try the local area. Ruth from the lounge is a real ray of sunshine with her hosting skills and bright smile. The room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning and beautiful city view. We had a minor issue with a smell from the bathroom sink, and the hotel tried to resolve, but couldn’t after several attempts. I hope they managed to sort it before the next guest. (Room 711). Each floor has a water cooler if you wish to fill up your bottles ahead of your day. All in all a great stay, and would highly recommend this hotel.

Room layout is strange. Toilet toom has no sink, need to go around to the shower room. Closet is extremely narrow.

No options to open window and air conditioner is not giving fresh air. Swimming pool in pictures looks much larger than in reality.
