A shabby example of a chain that appears to be racing to the bottom. We were somewhat irked that although the hotel is located ON THE MOTORWAY, "parking had to be paid for as the room was not booked directly" - this was not stated anywhere. Thankfully there was a Blue Badge space, although this was still chargeable. The room was in dire need of refurbishment; we won't be returning to see if this happens.

Couldn’t fault the place in terms of it’s all we were looking for and needed - we’d go back if we were doing a similar trip. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly. Close to a shop and a short drive to the town and about half an hour to Cardiff. Only fault was the place is in need of a bit of a face lift, but overall, very happy with the place.

We have been staying here for many years and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Our only dislike this time is they have started charging £5 a night for parking which would have meamt an extra £15 onto our stay. As we complained, did not see ir on our booking, Neal let us off with the fee this time but in future we shame have to pay. Sadly we my be using one of the other hotels in future.

It was close to visiting family. A bit of a shock when checking in and hit with £5 for parking the car, stayed 4 months ago and free parking.

Parking fee was a suprise. Probably mentioned but be easier to include in the room rate. Shower fittings were not clean and the bathroon needs some TLC.

We stayed here for three nights as we were travelling from Scotland for a funeral. I emailed the hotel 2 days before out stay asking if early check in would be an option however I did not receive a response. Given the long drive from up north I was aware that we would be arriving before check in so I made multiple attempts to phone the hotel to ask the aforementioned. Nobody answered. We arrived at the hotel around 1300 hours so I headed in to see if we could check in early. The male that I spoke with was very abrupt and said this was not an option even despite me willing to pay for this. We were told to return at 1430 and that they would maybe be able to give us access. When we eventually got in the room we observed it to be very spacious which was nice. However, the TV’s are in desperate need of an upgrade.

Room+Staff great but charging £5 extra for the parking because we did not book it directly through Days Inn's own site was disappointing

For a budget hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. Very spacious, clean room, excellent powerful shower, staff were lovely.

Very much a low rate motel feel. To begin with, the staff were lovely, but the room we had was very unkept with paint peeling from the wall and so much mould in the bathroom. The whole floor had a smell of cheap disinfectant But, you get what you pay for

Standard as usual is good, but as with heavy traffic hotel it is tired. Staff are excellent. Convenient for visiting family, and we can bring the dog with us. Please be aware of parking fees for each night staying. For free parking booking direct is advised.

Okay for the price though having to pay extra for parking because I booked through a third party site wasn’t welcomed especially as the service area was nowhere near any other parking so there is no option but to pay the £5.00. If I had known, I would have spent the extra fiver or so on a nicer hotel.

Ok stay but disappointing

Pleasant stay, but £5 parking fee for residents who do not book direct with the hotel is disappointing

You get what you pay for

Excellent value particularly on Sunday, variation other days recommended.

The staff were great, they actually apologised that we had to pay so much for the room just because it was a 6 nations match. The room Lacked character and a comfy chair or two would have been welcome.
