The hotel is lovely and the location is great, both in terms of the immediate surrounds and the nearness to so many worthwhile destinations. The main problem we had was that the description on Hotels.com incorrectly says that even the cheapest rooms (Standard double room) has a fridge—it did not have one, which was a key reason we booked this room. When we asked at reception about this they seemed surprised (and suggested we upgrade to get a fridge), but didn't seem interested in fixing this incorrect information. So, don't trust the Hotels.com description of the room! But other than this the room was very nice.

Absolutely love this hotel. One of the best hotels i have stayed in around the country and the beautiful countryside it resides in.

Excellent hotel with very good rooms, quiet location on the edge of a large park. Plenty of parking and off beaten track so secure in that respect. Nice restaurant with varied menu choices; breakfast excellent. Staff welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely use this again in preference to others closer to or in the town but really need car to access.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Grünen und bei der Anfahrt über das Grundstück freut man sich schon auf die typisch britische, alte Hausanlage. Im Inneren des Hotels geht der äußere Flair leider etwas verloren, eher so 80er Jahre Style. Wir hatten jeder die preiswerteste Zimmer Kategorie gewählt, gute Matratzen, das Fenster ließ sich öffnen und super war auch das warme und sehr saubere Bad.

I loved the drive up to the building, loads of ground and there's even it's own church. The staff were warm and welcoming when I checked in. The double room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.

There room was cold so I had to move to another one. There was a poor odour in the rooms.Breakfast was average and there were not bathrobes or slippers. When asked if I could have a dental kit I was told there is a charge, where as in other hotels this is given complementary.

Clean, warm room. Perfect for an overnight business stopover. Good breakfast. Will stay again.

The hotel was a lovely building with friendly staff and set in a stunning location. We found our room was very clean and comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. There was a great selection of breakfast and the restaurant is a pleasant place to be.
