We were three adults traveling together and had connecting rooms. The overall appearance/condition/amenities of our rooms were only average. One of the rooms was spacious and the other too small to walk freely around the bed. The smaller room also had a very tiny bathroom where you could not fully open the bathroom door without it hitting the sink. Also, both rooms had insufficient air conditioning and it was too warm to comfortably sleep. Aside from our rooms, the breakfast and rooftop bar/restaurant were nice and other restaurants/shopping within convenient walking distance. In addition, we were traveling with four other family members and before our arrival I inquired about the cost for the hotel's transport service for our group of seven back to the airport and the front desk quoted 90 euros (in an email). Unfortunately, when we took the hotel's transport to the airport the driver required 130 euros and did not accept credit cards. This was a stressful and inconvenient end to our Athens stay. I would not choose to stay at the Amalia Hotel in Athens again.
