What a beautiful resort! Kaleb was our host checking in. Very professional and friendly. There was a small issue with our room, but it was quickly rectified beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with giant iguanas running around. We dined at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had a chance to interact with the owner Beverly and she was wonderful and gracious. Upon checking out, I interacted with Dryane, again, very professional and friendly. I chose this location as it was close to both Altun Ha and the Baboon sanctuary, which both come highly recommended from me. Black Orchid is a wonderful place to stay. I hope to return someday.

Nice spacious room, excellent staff that helped us with zip line/atv trip in the jungle (transportation and booking excursion) and transportation to and from Belize and water taxi to San Pedro was also prearranged and seamless with reliable companies. Quiet resort perfect to decompress. Everyone friendly including guests. The right vibe to start the Belize trip.

This hotel was exactly what we needed for our first night in Belize. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and very friendly staff all around. We used this hotel as a first night launchpad since we arrived later in the day and didn't want to drive the two hours in the dark to San Ignacio. Much nicer grounds and pool than we expected and we were very happy with our dinner (fish and shrimp dishes) and great breakfast. This is a perfect place to stay on the front or back end of a trip to be close to the airport, or even to stay for a couple of days for nearby excursions!

Nice, typically rustic Belize style resort. Everyone working there that we interacted with was friendly. Very few rooms occupied the two nights we were there (5 rooms the second night and less than that the first night it seemed), which was good in some ways but not great for the resort. It seems they don't use dynamic pricing because I would have stayed another night if the price wasn't so much higher for the Saturday night stay even though I was told they only had 10 rooms booked for Saturday. The restaurant was good--you pretty much have to eat there unless you want to drive a long way. It would have been nice if the server had told us at breakfast that each coffee refill was an additional charge so we could take that into consideration before asking for more. The Spa on the rooftop which looked like a nice place to relax didn't work but other than that everything was as expected and nice. One of the owners was often around and very friendly.

The owners introduced themselves when we arrived and made us feel at home. The staff was wonderful and accommodating in everything. They were willing to answer any reasonable question asked them. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We would definitely go back.

Everyone was very hospitable and friendly. Not far from the airport, but remote feeling. Relaxing environment. Monkeys were a highlight!
