This was a beautiful hotel to spend a night and catch up with a friend. I am sorry I didn’t have time to explore the grounds and surrounding countryside. Everything was clean and the staff were efficient and friendly. Our only negative was that the night clashed with a huge wedding party and we were asked to move from the terrace which was the only warm place to sit outside on a beautiful Summer evening. This was the night before not the day of the wedding! None of the wedding guests were using the terrace either which was the upsetting thing.

Stayed for just one night, but the rooms were lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perhaps not the very best we have enjoyed, but was more than adequate and included a pretty good range of delights.

The young lady at the front desk/reception area during the check in process was exceptional.

Das Hotel und die Lage sind fantastisch. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und sauber. Der Garten ist Majestätisch. Das Hotel lässet einem einen besseren Service erwarten als man Antrifft. Flexibilität und Anpassungsvermögen bezüglich der Dienstleistung und Service lassen zu wünschen übrig. Anhand der Presentation des Hotels hätte ich etwas mehr erwartet. (Es ist durchaus möglich, das sich das Hotel garnicht als solches anbieten will und sich aus diesem Grund nicht darum bemüht.

An amazing stay! The property itself is beautiful and the grounds make for wonderful walks. The room was very spacious and well-maintained. We stayed with two young children, who received warm milk and cookies shortly after check in, brought straight to our room. The staff were lovely. The breakfast buffet was excellent (even if not extremely varied). Overall, highly-recommended and we would gladly return for a longer stay in the future.

Good check-in, but the room was very dreary - brown, brown, brown! - lighting was terrible and the bed was the most uncomfortable one I have ever slept in. Service was absolutely nothing special. Not worth the price.

We loved having a little court room with a terrace to just chill and relax. The beautiful grounds are so peaceful ti walk around. We will definitely return

This is an adorable hotel just outside London. The grounds are so pretty. We decided to have our wedding there.

It’s a quiet hotel in a rural area so not exactly ’buzzing’. As it’s an older building with add-ons finding your way to some bedrooms can be a story. It’s all fine, but not exactly a memorable experience.

Basic room that was comfortable enough, although had an odour to it, and looked a little tired. Food and hospitality of staff was top notch though
