The room is clean, the gym has enough equipment, and the staff is helpful.

The room is run down and not well maintained, quite dirty, hair balls sticked on the shower wall which is disgusting… bathroom is smelly… Better bring your own shampoo and body wash because the provided one smell really funny… The location is very convenient.

Room cleaniness wasn’t the best.. found old socks left over, sheets were dirty. Microwave had someone’s Tupperware left in it. Floor was sticky. Breakfast was awesome!! Staff at check in was also awesome! Pool is small but it was good enough for my kids. There was hair all over the floor at the pool, nobody cleaned there daily. Stayed multiple nights and that same hair was all over the floor. Awesome, spacious rooms, too bad it’s so dirty. Won’t be staying again.

The dishwasher was disgusting. There was garbage in there and dishes from the last person or whoever. Who knows how long that was in there. The one bathroom shower, the tub kept plugging up. I checked the drains there was so much hair in there. It was so gross. Definitely not worth the money I paid. The ceiling in the hallways are all brown on the sides too. There is no hot tub, and they cut off breakfast at 9:30am which is too early. Should be 10am. The place also smelled, had to buy air feshners. Unsure if it’s the carpet or what. But there was a smell to the room.

Great value for money. We got the 2 bedroom suite for the price equivalent to a standard room in most hotels. And front desk was pleasant and helpful.

We were pretty pleased with the room. However I would suggest putting a kettle into the apartment style rooms. We bought mr. Noodles from the lobby and had to boil water in a pot on the stove. A simple small kettle in the cupboard like the toaster would have been amazing. Took half hour for the pot to boil our water. We also waited 3 days for our room to be cleaned and when the housekeeper came only made our beds and gave us new towels. She didn’t take the dirty ones, didn’t clean our bathrooms or even tidy anything up. She also did not remove any of our garbage which were all full. We were a but disappointed. And I think it should have been done on the Tuesday. Mid way through us being in the room.

It was ok rooms could be cleaned better, breakfast is average still good if your on the go, washer machines are normally occupied and the dryers can’t dry too much at a time but still very good for a free machine and the staff is excellent, also no ice machine available you have to get it from the front desk and they don’t clean the rooms everyday.

This was our first time staying with Sonesta, and we chose it for the in-room kitchen, which we really value. The location was very convenient and easy to find right off the highway. Upon arrival, everything seemed great at first. However, we noticed some cleanliness concerns in the kitchen (crumbs in cupboards and on surfaces). When we found items left in the nightstand drawer, it became clear the room hadn’t been fully inspected. We brought this to the front desk, and the staff handled it very professionally. They apologized, acknowledged the issue, and immediately offered us a new room. While the new room didn’t have a king bed, it had a separate bedroom and was much quieter, which we appreciated. The kitchen was useful overall, though a frying pan would have been helpful. The dishwasher was a bit difficult to figure out. Breakfast had a good variety (fruit, pastries, breads), though some items were underwhelming. The pancakes were good once the machine was working. Overall, we had a positive experience. The staff’s responsiveness and willingness to make things right really stood out. We would consider staying with Sonesta again.

Had a wonderful 3 nights stay ( Mar 4/5/62026)at Sonesta ES Suites Markham Toronto. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite was extremely comfortable and spacious—perfect for relaxing. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities, which made the stay even more convenient. Breakfast was fantastic with a great variety including hot items, cereal, and even pancakes. It was a great way to start the day. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The manager personally came to meet us and asked if everything was okay, which made us feel very welcome and valued as guests. The only downside was that parking is now $5 per day which used to be free before. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the Markham/Toronto area. 😊

Friendly and fast check in. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is by the far the best place I’ve ever had.

Room had a lot of damaged or broken amenities. Also there is a parking fee so make sure you account for that.

Positif : Les chambres sont propres, spacieuses et tranquilles. Le personnel est souriant et sympathique. Belle variété au déjeuner!! Bon rapport qualité-prix! Les enfants ont bien aimé la piscine. Négatif : Nous avons trouvé que les corridors dégageaient une certaine odeur et la salle de bain est désuète.

The 2 bdr suite was filthy. Thank God my wife brought Lysol. Kitchen (countertop, backsplash, sink), bathrooms, especially toilets and glass shower - sticky stains all over and simply dirty. Towels had stains. Same goes for light switches. Also it says the property was renovated - old toilets, old bathtub, cracks in the walls and around the perimiter of the ceiling. The staff was accommodating and gave us a late checkout. This was nice. The furniture is new, but mattresses were very uncomfortable. However, due to being filthy, very rundown and uncomfortable I would not stay here again. Housekeeping needs to do a better job, otherwise it reflects very poorly on the property. We stayed in room 104.
