Great reception and check in. Clean room, everything worked. Bar area was a little slow to be cleared away with a lot of tables with glasses, plates on them. Breakfast was usual buffet. Coffee machines were out of order and the the coffee in flasks wasn’t great. Pool area and changing rooms all clean and well maintained.

Great venue great breakfast great service But £2.50 for 1 packet of Golden Wonder crisps purchased in the bar….are you kidding?!

We go every year at Christmas as a treat. The hotel rooms are lovely. Spacious, well designed with great lighting, bit TV, great bathroom, warm in the winter, improving breakfast and a sauna, steam room and pool. What more could you want. Unfortunately our last visit had too many things go wrong during a short stay so I cannot give it a higher rating this time round. This review would be too long if I got into it all. We will return next year and hopefully not experience these awful frustrations that marred our normally highly pleasurable time at this hotel. If standards are declining, we sadly will break tradition and book elsewhere.

On the whole was the hotel was fine and met my expectations of the Crown Plaza brand, however the shower in the room didn't run warm and the swimming pool was showing signs of a need of redecoration was surprising for an international hotel chain.

This was a short family stay, friendly staff that made your feel welcome and important, good facilities and great breakfast we nice surroundings

Lovely hotel, staff are very friendly and helpful couldn’t have ask for better. Would definitely recommend.

Tried to cancel 3 rooms via the hotel and hotels.com due to the storm and could t cancel. Really poor service; my work colleagues and I won’t be using hotels.com again

Fourth time visiting and love it. The hotel is well situated - 25 min walk to the town centre. The hotel service and facilities are great too. We visit as a family of four and the staff are welcoming.

I spent well over …..at hotel including drinks and meal then on check out they tried to withhold a one hundred pound security deposit (which I objected to any) for spilled drink stain on a pillow case (which would need to be laundered anyway). It was only after I started warning new guests about the scam that the incredibly rude hotel manager agreed to give my deposit back. An absolute disgrace and clearly a scam. Please contact the hotel and at very least give me a full apology. Also I will never pay a security deposit again so please ensure your hotels do not try this scam with me again

Lovely weekend break with family. Enjoyed the pool and the food in the bar. Hotel clean and service good. Just what we needed for a one night break away.

The service in the restaurant was the worst I have experienced
