Wouldn’t recommend if you need to connect to WiFi to do any form of work, streaming/ internet browsing of any sort. Had I known - I probably would have just paid extra for somewhere with reliable WiFi. As a Country pub though, great food, decent drink selection and great restaurant staff.

The food was perfect, staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to anyone who is looking for accommodation in the area.

Arrived checked in after a few minutes. Nice clean rooms All the staff on when i stayed were attentive and very friendly Lovely little Pub/Restaurant area. Food was excellent quality. Road noise isn't excessive, as its situated on the main road, so dont let that put you off. My self and business partner will be booking accommodation again a couple of time in 26 when we are down in the area on work.

I've used the F&G over many years. It's a decent independent hotel which has recently refurbished at least some of its rooms. If you're fed up of chains, try the F&G.

Very hospitable and great quality food

The room was nice, but we had a problem with both the front window not closing and a noisy hairdryer. However, when we told them at reception, the hairdryer was replaced for a better one and the window was fixed to our satisfaction. Overall, quite satisfied.

Good food nice place

Spacious room. Good room facilities. Excellent bathroom. No information in room about timings for breakfast. No information on booking whether breakfast was included in deal. Slept well until road noise woke me up 630an.

We had a very comfortable stay. All staff are friendly and happy to help with anything we asked. I’m 100% sure we will be back.
