Really excellent hotel, in a beautiful location. Just around the corner from the stunning Matyas Church and Fishermans' Bastion. You can either easily walk up the hill from the Chain Bridge or catch one of the frequent buses that run to/from very close to the hotel and into the Pest side of town. The hotel is in a lovely, historical, quiet part of town on the Buda side. If you want lots of nightlife on your doorstep then this probably isn't the place, but if you want a relaxing and peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings then it is! There are restaurants nearby. We found that the more traditional ones had closed their kitchens by around 9.30pm (fair enough!), but Jamie's Italian was open for a late dinner. The room itself was spacious, clean and well fitted out. Very comfortable beds. We had a duplex room with a mezzanine level which included twin beds (with TV) upstairs and a sofa bed, TV, desk, and comfy sitting area (plus the ensuite) downstairs. All of the members of staff that we met during our stay were very friendly and helpful. The first room we were allocated had a double bed instead of twins and we were quickly shown an alternative room and helped to move. The breakfast was lovely, with a choice of cooked items (the scrambled eggs and bacon was delicious!), breads, croissants and pastries, salad, cold meats, cheeses, cereal, tea, coffee, juice etc. Set us up very well for our days out. We would definitely want to stay here again!

Superbe hôtel proche de sites touristiques. A peine 2 min pour l’église saint Mattias et le bastion des pêcheurs et moins de 15 pour le château. La vue sur le parlement le soir est fantastique depuis la place. L’hôtel est très calme. Le personnel de la réception très aimable un peu moins les femmes du petit déjeuner.je recommande vraiment cet hôtel

The Buda Castle hotel is a lovely boutique hotel right up on the hill! Close to evefything in the Castle District. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing!

My husband and I stayed here two years ago (in early Nov). My cousin and I were coming for the Christmas markets and decided to stay at Buda Castle Hotel-- I like the location so much. It beautiful, it's quiet, the walking and shopping is lovely. The hotel itself is spacious and comfortable. We had a room with an upstairs loft bed and downstairs was a sofa bed. Both beds were outstanding and the room was quite quiet. We asked for complimentary bath robes and extra towels and got them immediately. The room had a window we could open. (I love that!) Aside from not especially hot or strong coffee, the breakfast had a nice variety of salad fixings, meats, cheeses, breakfast fruits, yogurts, baked tomatoes, baked beans, and eggs (buffet or a la carte), and a number of baked goods and breads. Only breakfast is served at the hotel, though it is possible to have a coffee any time of the day. There are a number of very enjoyable restaurants walking distance from the hotel. The manager Lazslo was very helpful. Daniel in the kitchen was just fantastic. The hotel has 27 rooms and all rooms were on two floors. We enjoyed a concert at nearby Matthias Church, walked across Chain Bridge to the Pest side, and, upon return to the Buda side, took the funicular back up to the Buda Castle area. I will stay at this hotel again when I return to Budapest. I love the privacy of the space and the intimacy of the environment.

Great location near to the castle, very quiet Breakfast room was a bit small for the amount of guests
