Staff were all excellent and nice but I feel they forgot what they are there for. Look up help don’t just have a laugh with colleagues It wasn’t even that busy

Heel fijn verblijf, ontbijt vond ik echt te duur. Op het dek, terras, kon je niet echt in de schaduw zitten en het was een warme dag. Hele schone en ontzettend ruime kamer.

Wat een fijn "hotel". Vooral de oude elementen van het schip zijn gebleven. Je kunt er makkelijk komen met openbaar vervoer (bus 77 stopt vlak bij) én watertaxi. Ook een ruime parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Ontbijt prima. Niet uitgebreid maar voor ieders wat wils. Kamer was schoon en netjes. Erg tevreden

The room was very large and had a nostalgic feel to it! I loved seeing how the ship was back when it sailed. Breakfast was good. Staff were not helpful with gluten free options.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and nice. Very family friendly.

Halvdelen af skibet var lukket, ingen pool, ingen børne klub, kun 1 restaurent åben og 1 bar hvor børn ikke er velkommen da alle andre steder var lukket. Så bestemt ikke et sted for børne familier.

Lovely aesthetics - breakfast on deck is great! Rooms pretty simple but comfortable. We asked for a twin rather than double but didn’t get it, but luckily the double was two singles together, but couldn’t move them due to fixed tables. Was able to move single bed to another part of the room.

De bar is de slechtste in mijn ruime ervaring. Tot wel 40 minuten gewacht ( en weggegaan) zonder dat er iemand langs kwam voor bestelling. 5 mensen in de bediening op max 40 gasten en zo vreselijk inefficiënt.

Het is vooral de beleving die het verblijf uniek maakt. De gedachte dat dit schip tot het jaar 2000 dienst heeft gedaan als cruiseschip en heel veel mensen plezier heeft gebracht is fantastisch. Hut was schoon, vriendelijke medewerkers en het ontbijt prima. Parkeerplaats is ook fijn. Hier en daar blijft het onderhoud wel wat achter.

We stayed one night on the ss Rotterdam with 2 kids (16 and 12). Both liked the experience and the water taxi to the MarketHall. Nice change from a standard hotel. The pool unfortunately was closed and the dinner service at Lido (on board restaurant), was fully booked so we ended up at the bar and ate snacks which worked well. There was enough selection that even the pickiest eaters found something. Did not get a chance for the tour but would like to do it in the future. Would recommend staying here.

Heel leuke ervaring om terug te gaan in de tijd. Bezoek aan het volledige schip is zeker een must. Kamers ruim en goed onderhouden.

This location is not close to anything. The early check in starts at 1:00 but nothing available. We did finally get checked in a little before 3:00. We explored the outside of the ship, where there is a small park which was very dirty with litter/trash and not well kept. Walking along the pier there was cigarette butts everywhere and some trash. Inside the ship hotel it was very warm.....no air flowing in the lobby. Our room was on the "A" deck at the very back of the ship....a long ways. The hall way carpet was badly stained all along the wall...needs to be replaced. The room was a nice size for a family but the carpet was extremely- badly stained. There was some loose carpet as well. There was mold in shower. The main problem...it was hot...very hot. We could not sleep well due to there was barely any air blowing anywhere. We did have it on the lowest temp. and it was miserable. The beds felt good BUT every time you turn over or move, the mattress would move, almost coming off the bed. That was not a good feeling. We have never slept in a bed like that, so that made it also uncomfortable. We did have water for each of us, which was nice as well as there was coffee and tea available in the room, which was nice. The free wi-fi was also nice and was secured by an individual code. The communication about how to get picked-up from the cruise terminal was not clear, so we had to walked a very long way to the bus stop at the metro station in order to get there.

The setting was very unusual in a pleasant way in that she is a retired ocean liner. Unfortunately, I was staying only a short time and I was on business. Otherwise I would have loved to visit the museum and take the tour. The overall impact was charming and much of the feel from her bygone days was still present. The staff, oops I meant crew, were all very helpful and attentive. I will stay longer next time.

As a solo traveller given a single room, it was an expensive and poor value booking at over 200 Euros. The room had no porthole or window, a small single bed, and there was furniture being scraped across the floor above until 1am. My friends who booked a double room had an altogether different experience, so it really depends on what you book. Otherwise the ship is great - brilliantly restored to its former glory and really interesting to explore; providing a unique hotel experience. The staff were super helpful throughout the ship. The amenities could do with a cafe/coffee shop for just getting tea/coffee. Also, it must be the only place where I've had a buffet breaksfast (which was excellent by the way!), that does not have a toaster!!

The SS Rotterdam is a very nice place to stay in Rotterdam. It was an easy check in and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is very good as is dinner in the Lido Grill. I will stay at the SS Rotterdam again.

Very quiet and peaceful. We were able to relax and recover after a long flight and train ride.
