Hotel Collodi Firenze is located within 15 minutes walking distance from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, even with luggage, and very close to the Central Market and the Accademia Gallery within a few minutes walking distance, and the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery within 30 minutes on foot. Although it is a 2-star hotel, the owners are very friendly and helpful, and the stay is very comfortable. There is a curfew, but don't worry, there is a nighttime entrance and exit. The rooms are varied, and those with terraces are particularly stylish. The bathrooms have deep bathtubs, and you can fill the bathtub with hot water, but be careful not to let it overflow, as there are no drains in the floor. Breakfast is served continental style, but it is adequate and can be brought to your room. It is located on the 4th floor, but the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, so you will need to carry your large luggage up.

This was a very nice small hotel in the center of Florence. Ideal location - everywhere was within easy walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the hotel itself is nicely furnished and full of character. We loved our stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Great location near Mercato Centrale and less than 5 min walk to the Duomo! Great room on the 2nd floor with fantastic shower as well. Comfy bed. Reasonable price for 5 nights! Small and private!

Giovanni & Nadine were very helpful and friendly throughout the process. For those driving to Florence Giovanni will direct you to a parking garage that is booked in advance and literally steps from the hotel AND avoids ZTL fines. Breakfast was good and the room was great for two adults and two teenagers. Very close to everything in Florence. 5 minutes walk to the Duomo, less to the Accademia, 7-10 to the Uffizi. 10 minutes to Pinterest Vecchio. All the restaurants that you could want for every meal of the day and aperitivo are minutes away.

Giovanni was welcoming ^ helpful. This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. We walked from the train station.

The location was awesome. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help you. I do want to point out that even though it says it has an elevator, the top rooms have a few stairs to get to them—nothing major.

Lovely hotel — we had our child with us and the room was lofted — she had a bed and writing desk and was in heaven. The breakfast was simple but filling — we have celiacs disease and they had a number of gluten free premade options to choose from — the best selection we have seen in Italy. The location is perfect but ask for directions from the train station — map apps didn’t do well for us but it is very direct 10 minute walk when the hotel staff explained it to you. Great to store our bags on our day of departure. Very close to the duomo, St. Lawrence Church, and the uffizi gallery… and Pinocchio!

Great hotel, central for all

This was a charming hotel in the middle of Florence. The stuff was amazing and made our stay comfortable and easy. They worked very hard to accommodate us. It is a little dated but so is Florence.
