Reservation and payments processed as advertised. Welcome from hosts excellent. Room and grounds very well maintained. Our tree tops balcony was good however if you want a better view the pool view room would be worth the extra cost.

Central location at a reasonable price. Rooms were a little old fashioned but comfortable. Big pool was nice however chlorine a little strong at times. Good car parking and an easy walk to main shops and restaurants. Limited room servicing was ok but small charges for extra towels etc seemed petty. Overall good value for money. Hosts were helpful and friendly

Location was excellent, able to walk around the town, supermarket, shops, cafes and restaurants as well as marina and beach. Apartment had everything we needed and hosts were hospitable. The complex had a nice ambiance and the grounds were immaculate. Beautiful vegetation and swimming pool in lovely setting. We had an apartment with a pool view which I would definitely recommend. It was worth the extra cost.

It was a quick walk to restaurants, shops and the beach! The property was clean and well maintained. The owners were helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the pool, but my friend did and enjoyed it. It was a nice view to have from my balcony. Laundry facilities are available. My king bed was 2 single beds put together and not super comfortable, but with expensive upgrades you can expect to pay more too. The cockatoos can be noisy, but don’t stay in one place too long. The price was so good for all the great benefits!

Place was a bit tired and dated. The room hadn't had a good thorough clean in a long time. Linen was clean and fresh but had holes in the sheets. Front desk person was not very friendly, a bit off hand. Our room was located upstairs, there is no lift which could be a problem for some. Location to town was great, one block back from the main street and a short walk to the beach. Over all we were disappointed in the accommodation and will not be returning here.

Location is awesome. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Everything is walking distance. Very clean place. I do recommend. Just wished we had a regular coffee machine.

Didn’t like you were asked to take the trash out before leaving. No shampoo available. If you wanted fresh towels you would get charged.

Great Pool and outdoor area. Secure and convenient car parking. Room reasonable size with good basic kitchen. Cleanliness of room was less than satisfactory.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Port Douglas Retreat. The property is beautifully landscaped and the rooms are very clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The resort is close to Port Douglas’s attractions- walking easily to the magnificent 4 mile beach, the Marina and of course McCrossan St. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Great quiet place to stay in with spacious rooms. I enjoyed how we had a kitchenette available as well as our own small living room space. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and walkable distance to pretty much everything in Port Douglas...especially the marina. I would definitely stay here again!
