I had a problem with an adjoining room leaving their bathroom fan on. Very loud and vibrating wall that my bed was against. Started at 6pm. By 930 I call front desk. Theyll check into it. Near 10:00 I call desk. Theyll call the cell phone of people. By 1130 this awful noise is still going on. Third time call desk They say since that room doesnt answer they must be sleeping. He made it clear with that statement my sleep doesnt matter. When I checked out at 0700 fan was still going. I cancelled my second night there.

Was a great location for us easy access

The staff was great. Helpful, friendly and kind. The room overall is fine but there is NO AC OR FAN! Nothing to cool you down at night. Or during the day. Nothing to help make white noise. And it was rather warm when we were there. I can’t believe they have nothing! Not even a fan. And that bed frame. It’s made of I believe tin? Any movement made the worst sound. We actually took the mattress off the frame and slept on the mattress on the ground it was THAT BAD. We didn’t hear other guest while in our room so that was good. And we did like the location of the motel. But not enough parking either. It needs more parking. If we ever come back to Newport we would not stay at this place.

Fire alarm randomly went off, no shampoo or conditioner provided, no AC super hot and too noisy outside to keep window open, bed creaked so bad anytime getting on and off, toilet kept going off making loud sounds, shower would get Super hot no matter how cool you turned it

The room has no AC, but it does have heat and a gas fireplace. But the hallways have AC, just not in room, weird. The room door had a missing piece, look like someone broke in before. All the outlets are loose, phone charger would not stay plugged in, had to have something to support it so it doesn't fall off the outlet. The bed squeezes even a tiny movement. The microwave door have to push like 10 times to get it open. Only positive is the bathroom is clean and it has exhaust fan.

Clean, helpful staff, walking distance to the aquarium

The first room we were given had a damaged entry that you could see a visible gap through the front door with a broken security latch. We were given a second room, but were kept up all night by stomping and what sounded like furniture being moved around all night above us. They said the second room was an upgrade because it had a fireplace. A fireplace that did not work. Would not recommend.

The staff was friendly

Several years ago, this hotel was a lovely place to stay. Now it's older and no upgrades or maintenance have been added. Our view was too many RVS packed into a dirt lot. Saving grace was the near proximity of Rogue brewery.

The service was excellent! We had a malfunctioning TV that was quickly remedied. The linens were stained a couple of times with dirt or something else and it was also quickly resolved. It’s a skeleton crew working there and they are doing their best. They’re as attentive as they can be. At the end of the day overall, it was clean and a good spot to sleep before exploring Newport’s offerings.

For the price, it was a bed inside, nothing fancy. It got the job done. We only stayed for a night.
