The Good (G), The Bad (B) and the Best (B): G: Excellent facilities for either long weekend Staycationers, Business and travellers. B: Facilities are currently being upgraded to really decent traveler nice facilities so electronic lock issues, bathroom shower not working properly and the air con out of order so a good quality Dyson fan in place. Some very “dodgy” looking spray marks on the roof above the bed also was not optimal. B: room was on a seriously good value rate, king size bed was very comfortable, quiet, safe and close to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions, so bar the improvements needed that are in progress, I will most definitely return and highly recommend. Kudos to their reception (sarah) and night porter team. Friendly, helpful and really kind. What more would one want to top and long weekend getaway. thank you!! i will be back!! :)

Location excellent. Grouting mouldy and bathroom smelt of mould. Check in and access to room was all on line which worked fine.

Free parking easy, friendly staff, literally next to high street where there’s shops/restaurants. Constructive criticism is for such a relatively small outlay the room could be a good budget room. Valance round bed base, peeled off paint touch up. However the shower was not good at all. 3 or 4 shower head holes worked, the remaining water was spouting from the screw on part of shower head and the door was falling apart with trim hanging off and the grout was black in lots of places, spray mould remover would easily rectify this? Was reported but was told no one had ever mentioned this? Bizarre!

A lovely hotel, slap bang in the middle of town, close to all pubs and restaurants and the Centenary theatre (20 minute walk) could do with a little touch up and repairs here and there. But excellent value for where it’s positioned and the staff are exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Lovely stay would book again definitely!

Does the job. Pricey for what it is, but few other options so well located

First impressions wasn't too bad. However, upon looking around the room, I soon noticed somethings. The floor was all stained and I didn't feel comfortable walking around in my socks let alone bare feet. The bed felt soft at first when I sat on it which I enjoy a soft bed, but laying on it you could feel the springs starting to come through. The bedroom area felt like it just needed some TLC, a newer TV wouldn't go a miss either. The beverage facilities wasn't bad though, although I had to go to reception to get a bottle of water, as the bottle in my room had been used! glad I noticed! The main thing for me though is the shower was *putting it politely* abysmal. The water temperature fluctuated every few seconds, the shower head was squirting out in every direction but where you wanted it to. Wasn't happy unfortunately.

The staff are great . The property is out dated and could do with a refresh plus provision of at least breakfast !

The place is not easy to find and I had to call to find out exactly how to reach the car park:the member of staff was extremely helpful I arrived before check-in time and asked for the toilets only to be told there were none available in the reception area at all, only in the bedrooms to which I did not have access. I was directed to Costa next door. The room was clean and functional and worth the £70 charge

Staff were friendly and helpful. Old TV, bed was ample and comfortable, kettle, iron, hairdryer all available. Heating was a problem on the two cold nights we stayed.
