Habitación impecable y una gran atención del staff. Muy céntrico y fácil de llegar en bus.

The room was dirty and tired with damages throughout. The only reason this rating isn't 1 star is due to the sheets and towels being clean.

Very easy to get to and the room was lovely. The four poster bed made it 4 stars

Was a bit nervous having read some negative reviews, but needn't have been. Our room was warm and bed was comfy. Bathroom was kept clean and it was nice to have a hot bath after a days sightseeing. We requested an extra chair for the room which was provided straight away. Didn't have breakfast. Buses to city very efficient - longest we waited was 3 mins. Car parking useful. Overall I would recommend the hotel, but I wouldn't say it is 4 star, more like 3 star, but fine.

It was cute. No elevator which I knew but would want to request main floor room if you have mobility issues or lots of bags. Staff were lovely. Easy access to bus that went straight downtown. The room has no noise barriers for within the house. And no light blockage. You will need ear plugs and an eye mask if you are easily bothered. I guess we were supposed to get a bottle of wine? But we didn't. Which is a shame because that would have been lovely. I would stay here again but I would be mindful.

Clean and quiet room, lovely staff

The staff were delightful and extremely helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. Room was good, although Ground floor wasn’t actually ground floor!

We booked two rooms, one in the lodge at the back which was lovely. The second room was no. 14 on the top floor. It was very cold and had no way to get it warm. Thankfully we didn't spend too much time in there as it was only one night stay. Longer would have been an issue. Staff were nice, breakfast was very good.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is exceptional.

Wir waren Anfang Oktober 2025 für drei Nächte im Kildonan Lodge Hotel und sind sehr enttäuscht. Bereits bei der Ankunft war das Zimmer in schlechtem Zustand: das Fenster undicht, die Heizung defekt. Trotz mehrfacher Hinweise an die Rezeption wurde das Problem nicht behoben – stattdessen erhielten wir nur einen kleinen Heizlüfter. Am Abreisetag stellten wir dann einen Bettwanzenbefall fest: Spuren auf den Laken und lebende Bettwanzen, die vor unseren Augen über die Bettwand liefen. Der Rezeptionist bestätigte dies und versprach eine vollständige Rückerstattung, die jedoch nie erfolgt ist. Seitdem reagiert das Hotel nicht auf E-Mails oder Anrufe – weder direkt noch über unseren Buchungspartner Expedia. Das Management ist schlicht nicht erreichbar. Für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel sind Zustand, Sauberkeit und Kundenservice absolut inakzeptabel. Wir haben den Fall inzwischen an die Gesundheitsbehörde Edinburgh (Environmental Health Department) und das Europäische Verbraucherzentrum gemeldet. Fazit: Hygienemängel, mangelhafter Service, keine Verantwortung des Managements – von einem Aufenthalt ist dringend abzuraten.

The room and bed were lovely, unfortunately the shower wasn't properly attached to the wall but once reported it was quickly fixed. We didn't have the breakfast as we felt that it was a bit pricey.

Room was lovely but noisy downstairs ! A bit disappointed with the breakfast. Could only have exactly what you had preordered the previous day and there was no bacon toast or orange juice for us on the 2nd day as they had missed our order for 2nd days breakfast .

Wonderful place, staff very helpful

The room was nice and clean as advertised. Hotel is right next to bus stops and can go straight to various attractions in Edinburgh
