Lovely breakfast, friendly staff.Great location.

The Hotel Penzance offers a great location for anyone visiting West Cornwall. A nice, comfortable, well located if slightly tired building, the rooms here were spacious and offering a fantastic sea view directly over St Michael’s Mount. The only downside for a less confident parker is the car park which was like a lesson in advanced trigonometry to get out of. Do not try it in the dark!

Breakfast was excellent and very friendly service. Room a little shabby chic but overall good. Check in process very long and unnecessary.

Food was lvly and parking fine. Room very clean and found bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Britisk standard skal man altid tage med et gran salt. Hotellet markerer sig selv som 4 stjernet ved indgangen, det er næppe efter andre standarder. Hotellet fremstod som meget slid og uhygiejnisk flere steder. Alle fuger på badeværelset, uden udsugning, havde sort mug/skimmel. Tydelig vandskader på værelset og et gulvtæppe man ikke havde lyst til at gå barfodet på. Prisen på opholdet er langt over hvad man måtte forvente. Personalet betjente fint og høfligt, men det redder ikke indtrykket af et slid og uhumsk hotel.

Comfortable bed and great restaurant. Nice elevated location and I'm sure it's nice sitting out front or using the pool in the summer. Easy walk into Penzance. I'm sure sea-facing rooms are nicer, mine looked out over a back yard with junk in it, and with the window open I could hear an extractor fan from the kitchen (I believe), so pay attention to room location!

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was great and very clean. The views were lovely and the pool looked great although the weather was not conducive to swimming. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I especially liked the pastries on the buffet and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Over priced for what it is. Stopped serving food early, get there early if you require dinner, not possible for me as I was on bussiness.

Kaisely the Receptionist was very attentive and very helpful and friendly this morning. She took all of my complaints onboard and apologised sincerely for the lukewarm water during my stay. I know sausages and the sausages I was served yesterday were of such poor quality with a texture thats no meat. And there was this incident of someone trying to get into my room without my permission after I responded and said "a moment" Overall though, my experience was good but it could have been better considering it's a 4 Star hotel

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Originally we planned only 2 nights, but decided to extend, because we liked it so much, so we had a chance to try more than one rooms. The location is beautiful, the rooms looked great, the beds were comfy and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Bellissima la vista sul porto e st. Michael’s Mount dalla camera, ottima la colazione, comodo alla stazione: ci tornerei!

Wow what a view from room and bed comfy and great to stay in car park we had to pay for was bit of a suprise as says parking when booked but great please and great location

Disappointed with a few key details during my stay. The pool was advertised as open until 8pm, but was actually closed by 6pm frustrating for those planning to use the facility in the evening. The check-in greeting felt impersonal and lacked warmth. Additionally, the room wasn’t up to expected cleanliness standards, with a stained chair and noticeable food crumbs under it.

Vi forstår ikke helt de 4 stjerner. Vi vil sige 3, alt meget gennemsnitligt. Tror der er forskel på bedømmelsen i Danmark og England. Morgenmad på det jævne, lille seng, varmt værelse under taget (meget smuk udsigt dog!)

Breakfast was below average in my opinion. Good but not good enough for 4-star hotel charging those prices. Also surrounding is too quiet with not much to do. I would recommend staying in St Ives instead. Much more vibrant.

stair carpets and carpet in room very dirty, table in dining room dirty oily sticky . one layed with crumbs still on windows so dirty at sides could see out, uneaxpectedlu had to pay for parking. room 3 despite being about 16 with a cool change outside was very very hot we kept fan on and still couldnt have any bedding - wont stay again

I stayed in a small single room. It needed more airflow, but a fan was provided, making the room very comfortable. I enjoyed tea on the patio in the afternoon. The best part of my stay was breakfast... delicious!!
