We liked our room, the view it gave us over the countryside was brilliant. We struggled with the coffee maker, and gave up on it- some instructions would have helped. We also struggled with the shower controls and again some instructions would have helped. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good but we were a bit disappointed by the selection for dinner.

Room was lovely, clean and coffee machine. Went for the Ibiza night. Great music, great food! Blankets supplied for the chilly evening. Nice touch. The owners are hands on and really can’t do enough for everyone. Stating again for the Ascot ladies day.

Staff were so helpful, and polite. Clean everywhere.

I found my breakfast over cooked i did ask for 2 sigle beds we had but was joined together and it was made up as a double the hotel was very nice plenty of parking a lovely place i would stay again

The gorgeous room, staff, food and service

I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough, Shaun and his team at The Sweeney Hall Hotel are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious and the service and ambiance is 5 star. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay. Don’t hesitate staying at the sweeney, such a beautiful setting, gorgeous comfy rooms, attentive staff and delicious food. Big shout out to summer who really looked after us and the young man at breaki (sorry should have got your name) this hotel is my “go to” when working in the area, puts anything corporate to shame x

Great Stay would of been better if the shower was working!

Lovely old country house. Friendly staff. Tasty evening meal and excellent choice for breakfast. Lots of gluten free options. Huge comfortable room with seating area and nice views. Peaceful location with easy access to the main road. Dog friendly. Nicely maintained grounds with lots of seating. Our third visit and never disappoints.

Dining was good, staff excellent. Not enough plug sockets in the room.

This was a convenient hotel for a nearby wedding and was OK but nothing special. Tired feel to the place, wifi not working, doors slamming, keys to open doors not easy to use. I would expect the price to be maybe a third cheaper than it is for what you get.

This is a converted country house with pleasant surroundings. Reception took a whike to appear on check in room good size but bathroom not clean (old toothpaste marks on basin surround, dirty windows). Not especially comfortable bed for all tastes. No shaving mirror or tissues. Food adequate though breakfast service haphazard and quality inconsistent. A bit disappointing and somewhat faded overall given the price point of accommodation.

Love coming back here, relaxed atmosphere, lovely homely rooms and great food. Staff always helpful and appear very happy in their jobs, always a good sign of a happy ship!

Difficult one to award stars. The hotel itself, appearance and setting is fantastic. The service and quality of food was exceptional as was the value for money. The one thing that was a huge disappointment was the room. We stayed in room 12. The bed, I think, was installed when the hotel was built, it was so uncomfortable that neither of us slept for more than a couple of hours. Every time any water was used, sink, shower or WC a motor kicked in presumably part of the sewage system. The noise was, to say the least annoying and added to the lack of sleep. Due to the strange layout of the bathroom, access to the window for cleaning is very restrictive and therefore difficult if not impossible to clean. Obviously my review is only for room 12 and had it not been for this I would easily have awarded a 5 star review. I would highly recommend this hotel but ask for a different room

Looks good until you get up close, needs updating, electric shower was woeful no pressure, One very small shower gel for 2?

The location and peace of the area. The charm of the building and the welcoming feeling. Ease of booking . Sorry we couldnt stay longer.
