I stayed here for the location, next to Wookey Hole Cave, where I was attending a party.

Very clean inside and out. Hotel in a remote area, no shops or restaurants for miles.No public transport to get away. Extortionate prices in the bar and restaurant. Breakfast self-service not a lot on offer staff member not interested, not a good experience.

Room was very big clean lovely and comfortable. Staff very helpful and polite always stay here when down this area .

Shower head dirty, cheap,unweighted shower curtain. Shaverpointlight inoperative sheet had something brown stuck to it. Breakfast was rubbish. Had to chase for bacon plates,eggs,butter and tea cups. The sausages were rubbery and everything was cold. Staff were inattentive.

The large family rooms are spacious and were very good value at the time of year we visited (early October). Very clean bedroom and bathroom and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. An ideal location for visiting Wells without paying the higher rates in Wells. Taxis are relatively easy to get to and from the hotel and into Wells. The only disappointment was having to book a time slot for breakfast which I felt was a bit restrictive especially as we checked in a bit later than possible and found available times were either very early or late. We turned up a bit early and there were plenty of empty tables so I’m not sure why this is necessary. Overall a nice one night stay and a super 2 days in Wells.

Very helpful staff who were very accomodating to suit my dietary needs. Room was nice clean and comfortable. Staff on reception very pleasant on arrival and early departure. 2nd time staying at this hotel and would recommend.

Did not eat at restaurant as were told we couldn't book between 6:30 - 8pm as a large party were in. Bed was very hard and made my back ache. Headboard on bed was very dusty. Spiders in the bathroom. Also noises all night long from the bathroom/toilet and people in other rooms, dogs barking in the corridor. Location of hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It was okay for 1 night but i wouldn't stay here again.

Brilliant hotel had a good night sleep no noise and the shower water was hot the only concern i had was the glass shower door when it stung open it almost hit the sink so i put a towel on the sink just incase my kids swung it open and smashed it

Room was lovely , spacious and airy , we had room 58 , 1 double balcony window and a large double window which overlooked a country path . Staff were great ,willing and helpful , Even charged my phone overnight because i forgot charger , only downside was pillows were too hard for my liking and threw them on the floor but alround thumbs up

No complaints, the room was lovely, clean comfortable and quiet. The food was delicious and staff lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back.

We booked a room and breakfast for a 1 night stay after a flight from Bristol Airport. We emailed in advance to organise a cot being provided in the room. On arrival at around 3.30am with a sleeping baby, no cot was provided. Night porter was friendly and apologetic and fetched a travel cot for me to build myself, which wasnt a problem but woke the baby. So we paid for 30 minutes sleep, less than 3 hours in the building and no breakfast with a 6.30am checkout. Rooms did look clean & tidy but organisation was poor.

Clean and exactly what you would expect

Room clean and comfortable, breakfast poor, scrambled eggs made with powder mix was awful and tasteless and tinned mushrooms watery, not nice at all. Beans ok although only warm on 2 days. As a non dairy vegetarian i was left with beans and toast . Toaster did not eject toast, had to use tongues to get it out. Finally hash browns were soaked in fat . My husband did like the yogurt pots. Sadly breakfast spoilt our stay and because of this would not reccommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, very clean and tidy and very helpful staff. Location is very tucked away from the main roads but I think this adds to the character of the place, right next to Wookey Hole caves.
