The Parador was well signposted and there was a large car park in front of the building. Check in was quick and pleasant and we had two rooms overlooking the Torre de los Alarconcillos. The rooms were a great size and wifi worked well. The downsides were eating in Alarcon - even at 9PM the only restaurant we saw open was the Parador itself although that didn't start serving food until 8:30PM. The town was pretty with some beautiful walks along the gorge and we are already planning a longer stay, using the parador as a base to do some hiking. Breakfast was wonderful, a mix of buffet and cook to order. Overall the staff were great, the room was wonderful and the setting and views from the keep roof just awesome. A fantastic stay.

Top notch stay! Staff was fantastic and very friendly and helpful even though we aren’t fluent in Spanish. Rooms were clean and modern feeling, very tasteful. The shower was great as well. Breakfast was the star of the show with an assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, yogurt, etc. The setting is magical and the surrounding town is really cool, too. Lots of places to hike around and explore. Really haven’t ever had another experience like this!

Most amazing Parador. I side an 1300 old castle. Just an amazing experience.

Excellent time here. We stayed in January it is definitely off season. We reserved the upgraded room, and was not disappointed, Our room had a huge window with a seating area embedded into the wall. A large bathroom with tub and shower. Ample hot water. A queen sized bed with red cloth draped over top. A mini bar with some beer and soda, (Extra) We asked reception where to take good photos and she handed us the key for the top of the guard wall! The hotel has a bar, and a restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner (and maybe lunch? We didn't check) We used the restaurant for breakfast, it was included. Which was great, not a buffet. You choose a main from a menu and they provided some meats and cheese tray. It was better than we expected, and amazing ambience. We had dinner in the restaurant. The atmosphere was excellent they had a fixed menu which had food we didn't want so we ordered a la carte, it was excellent. With a bottle of water and wine. It was 90 euros. So not low cost. But good value considering we were in a castle. We witnessed one guest who was angry because he couldn't find a quiet place to read, he felt the bar was too loud. And his room was too small. Our room was the only one on our floor of the main tower and was not small. chair. But we did notice that other floors had 2 rooms. So much smaller rooms exist. Our experience was great, we left happy, it is worth the drive to Alarcon!

Everything was great from rooms to staff and food

Beautiful property and rooms, delicious food especially the lamb, and loved the kids menu option that no other parador had on our trip. We don't like having to reserve for breakfast, the tap water tastes gross but there was no water provided in the rooms and no stores open in town, and a/c was not cold during really bad heat wave

Sehr schöne und modern renovierte Burg, toller und sehr freundlicher Service. Essen und Frühstück war erste Klasse. Der Lift aber ist alt und dreckig, völlig ungepflegt. Das Fenster im Bad Zimmer 105 sollte neu verfugt werden....

É um lugar deslumbrante, onde estivemos há 31 anos e agora retornamos com a agradabilíssima surpresa de ver tudo ainda melhor. Quartos modernizados mas que lembram que estamos em um castelo milenar, parte da história da Espanha e da nossa história pessoal.
