Comfiest beds in the Maritimes. Amazing breakfast and even better restaurant staff. We will be back!

Very comfortable, friendly welcome and an excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

The rooms could use a bit of a spruce up. The bathroom drain did not drain in the tub when showering. Lots of scratches on the walls and door frames.

The room was clean and quiet, though a bit dated. Some of the wallpaper was starting to peel and the structure of the bathtub did not lend itself to a comfortable soak. The bed was very comfortable. The parking felt safe. The breakfast service was excellent.

Room was very clean Staff on desk and restaurant was very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast and parking was right outside my door. Very happy with my stay. Would stay again and would recommend.

Some outlets in the room didn’t work. Not much sound isolation, could hear the Neighbors TV all night. Power went out for a couple of hours in the morning, when it came back on, the heater didn’t work anymore for the remainder of our stay. We called the front desk to tell them and they seemed disinterested in helping, which no one did. Breakfast was fine but weird how they used grocery store dinner wedges as home fries and the cheapest, thinnest, cold bread imaginable. They don’t even have a menu for their restaurant available in the rooms, or a menu we could take back to the room at the restaurant itself. We normally stay at Microtel when in Antigonish, but decided to give Maritime Inn a try this time. Will definitely pay the extra to visit Microtel from now on.

The room was very clean. The bathroom looked like it was updated but the living area not for years. The staff was great.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were amazing. The only think that I disliked was the very little space in the bathroom where tho toilet was. Get rid of that wall and put the door on the outside by the main door and make where the toilet is a little bigger.

Staff at the front desk and our waitresses in the restaurant. They are really lovely. It is an also a good location. The rooms are really run down. Our bathroom was not super clean. There was long hair on stuck to the bathroom door and on the floor. Mine is short. The rooms need a Reno. The beds are very comfortable.

Room was fine

Room was really cold when we arrived. Air conditioner was noisy and the carpet was stained and did not look clean. Great staff and food. Wood eat there again.

Clean rooms courteous staff

I had my room booked, and was contacted earlier in the day about what time I would be checking in. Considering check in was 3pm and it was only 1pm at this time, I explained I’ll be there after 3pm. Later that evening, as I’m on my way after visiting family for the holidays, I get a second phone call asking when I would be checking in. I explained I was on my way but it was the holidays and I was visiting. I think it was highly unprofessional to be contacted not only once but twice wondering when I was showing up. I’ve never had a hotel do this before. Then, I call from my room to the restaurant & the phone doesn’t work. I call back on my personal phone and am asked to hold. I wasn’t even put on a real hold, someone just set the phone down as I could hear the chatter still. 7 mins later someone hangs up the phone. I called back, explained I was just hung up on. It wasn’t until my fiancé went to get our food did we get an apology. Yes, the girl who answered wasn’t the one who hung up as a guy had answered and asked me to hold, but as a business, all staff need to be aware that you apologize on behalf of other staff sometimes. What I thought used to be one of the best hotels in antigonish gave me the worst experience.
