We had a very enjoyable stay for three nights. The hosts were fabulous. They gave us great ideas for activities in the area given the recent floods, and provided areas of interest as we headed east on the garden route as well. My family of four stayed in the cottage, which was perfect for us.

Gerry is very welcoming and useful ! The place is clean and beautiful. Breakfast is perfect ! Home made bread, good choice of cereals, fresh fruits salad, yogurt and an additional choice of cooked dishes. Thank you again, we’ll definitely come back when we return to South Africa.

Il y a pléthore de guesthouse à Oudshoorn mais celle ci vaut le détour, un hôte Gerry adorable, plein de bons conseils, des chambres propres, confortables et très bien équipées. Un petit déjeuner délicieux où rien ne manque. Bref, une adresse incontournable.

Overall, our stay was marvellous in every way possible - the high level of service from our attentive hosts and their staff, the cleanliness of our room plus amenities, the incredible and plentiful daily breakfast, the rustic and comfortable feel of the entire guest house, as well as the convenient location for accessing the greater area.

Everything was great. The host, Gerry, was engaged, hands in and very helpful with suggestions and referrals for attractions, restaurants, etc. And a great conversationalist, very knowledgeable about Oudtshoorn, the Klein Karoo, and South Africa in general!, and

A lovely 3-night stay at this homely, rustic-style guest house. With a warm, friendly greeting we felt right at home from the start. In a very convenient, easily walkable, yet quiet location right in the centre of Oudtshoorn, with a delightful garden and pool area and safe on-site parking, this guesthouse is a gem. Gerry is an outstanding host! He went above and beyond to provide recommendations and information on the area .... he even made restaurant reservations for us. Always friendly and chatty ... we left feeling like friends. Most outstanding, however, was his healthy, generous and freshly-prepared breakfast ... really set us up for the day. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Gumtree. The host was very sweet and helped us with great ideas of things to do and see while in the area. The breakfast was tasty with choices of hot and cold items, fresh made bread, and fresh fruit cups. The location was quiet, but within walking distance to good restaurants.

Ett hotell över förväntningarna. Otroligt mysigt, mysiga rum och mysig miljö. Sköna sängar. En fantastiskt trevlig ägare som på vår smekmånad välkomnade oss med bubbel och sedan gav tips på både restauranger och stopp på vår kommande körning på route 62.

Our host Jerry could not be more charming or helpful. He’s a font of knowledge and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in places that look more plush, but this was by far superior in every way. Powerful shower, quiet air con and ceiling fan, and the best breakfast.

This property was well maintained and had secure parking. We appreciated that it was only a block to the Main Street and close to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.
