Stagg was VERY helpful. Unfortunately room was smaller than expected and no AC.

Bar area & seating was acceptable but the accommodation was two out of ten with stair carpet and landings disgustingly dirty & smelly . Apartment 6 room floor carpet needs replacing , walls have splash marks that are from previous occupants , shower door disgusting at bottom outside.

We had a nice time, its a nice location. However, I stayed with my kid, two times I had to go in to the bar with my kid and two times I did not even get an hello, I was met by staff waving and being no no they are not aloud in! Please I know, the curfew was at 21 for kids. But I am alone with my kid and I’m not letting him stand on the street by himself. Very rude and just weird to be treated like this. But, how do I contact the staff otherwise? In that sense we did not feel at all welcome and chose other places for breakfast, snack& drinks, lunch and dinners. Why allow kids if we are not even allowed to come in to ask “how do we check out”. Like they did not care at all. I felt, not a penny more to this place!

We booked the double room. It was VERY SMALL!! Couldn’t swing a cat in it (no place to put luggage for example). Towel rail permanently on and so close to the toilet, it burned your leg if you weren’t very careful how you sat. Paint chipped and peeling. Needs updating. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was good.

The whole experience was mediocre. The staff “alright” no real complaint but the impression you get is that the place is badly maintained The staircase leading to the rooms needs repainting, there are chops of paint missing all over the place. The carpet looks good ld and frankly dirty. The rooms are ok but the handle of the toilet flush in room 7 is hanging. Ok so the price was ok but even so, the overall feeling is of mediocrity. Note. The staff was courteous so no real issue there, but the whole place just looks and feels tired. Outer window didn’t shut either

While the room was a bit worn, the atmosphere was great, the helpful, and the location ideal.

Clean room staff were great breakfast on our first morning was amazing unfortunately our 2nd morning change of chef breakfast was very late and cold, although I did complain to the manager who just said sorry!

It did what it said on the tin! Clean, welcoming, very comfy bed, bottle of water, proper milk and perfect location for us. Glad I took earplugs as a tad noisy outside (t’was the WE though). Ate dinner there too, which suited us to a T.

We received a warm welcome, the other staff we met were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet & breakfasts were wonderful.

Staff were helpful and the room was clean. The bathroom did need some maintenance though

No toilet roll and the bathroom/toilet smelt really badly or urine. Rooms looking very tired and in need of renovating. Got charged £1.50 for an egg on my sandwich.... Midweek stay for a £100, never again...

Really friendly staff and room was excellent with unlimited coffee pods.

The kitchen was unable to offer several items from the menu - no avocado, no smoked salmon, no mushrooms. Also, I was not offered any brown toast or marmalade.

Great pub with good facilities stayed here for 1 night rooms are small but everything you need great location for the horse racing

Stayed overnight here so we could catch a nearby folk music gig. Everything was outstanding! If you're looking for that "Sign of the Prancing Pony" romantic inn experience, this is it. I half-expected to see Aragorn ensconced in the corner. Breakfast was absolutely terrific: my wife had the vegetarian full English and I had the regular, both superb. Strong, flavorful coffee made fresh. Staff were always helpful and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again in Cambridge!

The Waterman is a loverly pub doing good beer and good food and the staff are great. Have stayed there on numerous occasions and the rooms are cosy but lovely and perfect for me on my own. Great location too, easy to cross the river and be in town in under 10mins. I will def stay there again. Staff even helped me getting a taxi to the station this morn when i thought i would miss my train bit i just made it!! So thank for that guys and thanks for a lovely stay in Cambridge!
