Aunque es pet friendly no puedes dejar a tu perrito sin ti eso limita mucho lo que puedes hacer.

El wifi falla mucho y el servicio del personal fue un poco descortés.

I stay at the Hotel Rio every time I travel to Puerto Vallarta. The rooms are large and clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. And, the restaurant Coexist Bistro has some really good food. Not to mention the location is amazing. Walk anywhere and everything is close. Shopping, restaurants, the Malecon, art galleries, etc...

No parking

Hotel is convenient but definitely needs an upgrade.

Great place and location

I love this property. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and the hotel location is in the heart of old town where you can walk to everything. The pool is in the courtyard and feels like a cenote. The restaurant has excellent service and all the food is delicious. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with good A/C. Across the street from the malecon sea walk and all the shops and restaurants.

We stayed at the Hotel Rio Malecon for 2 nights, April 1 & 2nd 2026. The front desk staff was excellent, very helpful and polite. Our room was dated, but very clean. Heads up there is no elevator. it was great having the small kitchenette, I had brought coffee, so we could have coffee in the room. We ate in the restaurant a few times, food was very good, service was excellent. The location and amenities around the hotel are great & it is only a short block to the beach & malecon. Just a small walk from the walking bridge.

We felt welcome from the minute we walked in the main door. The lovely woman at reception was very helpful and kind, with a beautiful smile. We didn’t use the pool, but it was very clean and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, the bed is so comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was perfect.
