Lovely warm friendly greeting from staff. The room was clean and spacious. Nothing fancy, just exactly what you would expect

The carpets were dirty and smelt of dogs & cannabis in the stairways. The whole place was very tired and worn. Room rate was very overpriced it a handy location. A Mini fridge was in the middle of the floor in front of the sink which wasn’t even plugged in. The food is usually good in the bar though.

Nice room for an overnight stop. Great friendly staff, great service for food & drinks.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Tavern. Location couldn't be better, room was comfy and spacious and the staff were welcoming and kind. Would 100% recommend

Basic room in pub

The Tavern was great value for money, above a pub but didn’t hear any noise, it was clean and friendly environment. The Tavern is in the town and close to many dining options and other drinking establishments. Whilst there is a nice bathroom and monsoon shower, the shower unfortunately was not usable as it was boiling hot. I would still return and stay again.

We had a lovely overnight stay. The staff were very welcoming and informative. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, our wee one especially loved the bunk bed. We booked in for dinner which was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. The area is beautiful, we will definitely be back!

Room was 3 floors up,small room,very basic,clean but bed was hard and really uncomfortable. Also very noisy ,could hear them coming in at 3am!!. Very limited teas and coffees in room,and continental breakfast ready laid out for next day. there was no additional tea/coffee until Tavern opened at lunchtime .

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was good size and clean. The location was very convenient. Free parking in front of the building until 10am in the morning (you have to get a disk from reception and display it). However, the room has very poor sound proofing - I could hear people next door talking and snoring. It’s also above a pub so there was a bit of noise from the street. The fridge in the room was a nice touch but noisy. Overall we didn’t have a good night’s sleep unfortunately…

Great location and staff great but our room was a little too small, no outside windows would stay again but not that room.

We had a motorcycle and unfortunately someone tried to move it overnight, luckily it had steering lock and a chain on and was still upright, apart from that our stay was lovely, people very friendly and accommodating

Nice distances from places of interest and food. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action, but the staff were accommodating in this issue. I we really enjoyed are stay.

Enjoyed my stay although it hadn't been particularly clear when booking that due to a recent fire in the kitchen, the venue wasn't currently serving food. Plenty of places nearby to eat but it would have been good to have been forewarned.

I was only there for 1 night but for me it was quite comfy and close to Morrisons for snakes

The room we were given was not the room booked. The shower was awful, there was no hairdryer, the venue does not have a working kitchen, hence no food available. The toilet leaked and finally the host refused to accept that I had paid before arrival even though I showed him my payment acknowledgment on my banking app. Would not recommend this place.
