It’s not five star in terms of luxury but it is a comfortable place to ski from. It’s on the edge of the village with one green slope right by the door but otherwise you have to walk with your skis up to the chairlifts which takes about 8-10 minutes. There are ski rental shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The main village hub is a 5-10 minute walk away, up a hill. The beds are comfortable. The apartment has everything you need. It’s quiet and well set up. The pool isn’t that warm and the spa areas could be cleaner. It’s not five star, more 3-4 star.

It was an amazing view, but they give you essentially no amenities, to include toilet paper, zero napkins/paper towels, and only a couple of coffee pods. They said we should buy everything. They effectively made it right at the end.

Great base for a holiday

We had a fantastic stay for our family ski holiday. We've stayed in other places in Avoriaz in the past and the location of L'Amara is just spot on for children. Our appointment was directly above the ski locker which was straight out onto the run. We used the pool area a couple of times and although it was quite busy, it never felt crowded. The parking was convenient and easy to access the appartment from it. The appartment itself was actually surprisingly roomy for an avoriaz appartment. We had a 2 bed one and it was plenty big enough for a family of 6, including 2 under 5's. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall, we would stay again if we returned to Avoriaz again.

El alojamiento más caro de Avoriaz y solo piensan en ahorrar, la nueva dirección es pésima, todo sucio, mobiliario deteriorado, no incluyen limpieza, ni cambio de sábanas o toallas en toda la semana, piscina fría, calentadores de baños con timer que se apaga 1-2 horas después, no dejan ni sal, ni servilletas, ni shampoo, ni reponen papel de baño ni bolsas de basura, solo 2 restaurantes a pie, el centro de Avoriaz es una caminata larga de 20 minutos ( la ubicación de Google es falsa, está 1 km más lejos de lo que se muestra) y con subidas, cuidado si reservas por Expidia por que todo lo que ponen es mentira, nada está incluido y todo es de paga, limpieza 19€ por persona por día, no tiene categoría 5 estrellas ni en sueños, si vas con niños pequeños olvídalo, para llegar a cualquier lugar solo con transporte, ni el transporte de la estación al hotel está incluido como en los demás alojamientos de Avoriaz. Todo absurdo, jamás repetiremos.

Lovely apartment hotel, set away from Main Street which is very busy and could be noisy. Staff were very helpful, medical centre and ski hire also very easy to access. Stayed in Sveta block and skied straight from boot room. 5min walk to restaurants & grocers. Bonus Spa for down days.

Nice apartments and of a good size. We had a 2 bed with balcony for 2 adults, 3 kids. Although designed to sleep 6 it would be right on space. For our group or 4 adults, it’s ideal. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The only negative I can mention, and it is minor, is that we arrived late evening and there is nowhere to get essentials. A simple welcome pack would have helped here. All in all, a great location and I would stay again.

Very good. Pool a welcome faculty at the end of a day skiing. Sofa bed could be comfier but not a huge deal. Ability to order pastries each day really good. Great location for ski in / ski out.

We loved that the flat was split level. It was much bigger than our expectation and of really great specifications.

Great to have spa, gym and pool there. A little far for grocery shopping if you plan to cook in the apartment. Overall great experience.

Loved our stay at L’Amara. Took a couple days to figure out the place. But once we did we were blown away with the organization of the place. Kids were picked up outside the hotel reception at 9am daily to go to ski school. It was a 30 second walk from the ski locker to the horse sleigh ride to ski school- amazing! The 2 restaurants were great; coffee pods from reception so easy and delicious; and ordering pastries and bread for breakfast each more was seamless. We didn’t use any of the kids nursery services but the room looked fun/cute. I think some of the other hotels / apartments to rent are more convenient if you are looking to go out more - but L’Amara was seriously perfect! We will be back next year. The one negative was the bed duvets were so thick and too hot. I wish I had taken a sheet out of the closet to use instead of the duvet.

Séjour parfait afin de profiter de la fraîcheur pendant la période chaude. Le logement était spacieux et disposait de l’ensemble des prestations que nous recherchions. La résidence est un peu à l’extérieur du centre du village.

Propreté / cadre sympathique / piscine

overall very nice stay, apartment was clean and spacious. Duplex layout with bedrooms downstairs was a nice surprise and bathrooms were very nicely equipped and finished. Disappointing that bar closed at 9pm each day and no food or drink was available (not even a vending machine) on day of arrival after a late (10pm) check-in. Ability to order food to be delivered to rooms ahead of arrival would be a good additional service to offer.
