I was very disappointed with my stay at the Grand Ambassador in Akrotiri, Santorini. This hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, but my experience did not reflect that standard. The room had an ants problem. I reported it to the staff and the manager, but nothing was done to resolve the issue during my stay. It's unacceptable to ignore a basic cleanliness concern like this. Though they cleaned everyday but it never took care of the ants. They needed to hire a company and spray the property. The hotel also advertises king-size beds, but the bed in my room was actually a queen, which was misleading. The manager argued it was a king and send someone else to measure. Come to find out the bed IS a queen size. He stated that he order king size and thats what he received. I paid for a king size bed not a queen. He didnt bother of trying to find another room or make it right. In addition, several fixtures in the room were outdated or in poor condition, making the room feel poorly maintained. The property was amazing with a beautiful panoramic view. The floor staff was super friendly. For a hotel that is advertising to be 5 stars, I expected much better service, maintenance, and honesty . Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations, and I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

In general at great an relaxing place

The Grand Ambassador Santorini Hotel had the best views on the island! The staff even upgraded our room at no cost due to some maintenance issues with our original room. My Wife and I received world class customer service from the staff! We will definitely be visiting Santorini, Greece again in the future! Thank You Grand Ambassador Santorini Hotel for the AMAZING hospitality!

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff!

This was our very first time visiting this hotel and choosing this resort made our trip complete. The views of the caldera and the Aegean Sea were breathtaking, looking even better in person than in the pictures. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, The dining was also great. The breakfast has endless choices to choose from. If you are looking for a perfect quiet stay in Santorini, we highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel rooms with amazing views w/infinity pool, lots of privacy, delicious food at the onsite restaurant, and fantastic service made our stay unforgettable! We want to thank the entire hotel staff for making us have one of our best experiences ever. We will be back😍

Fantastic and magical resort in a "quieter and relaxed" location on Santorini. We loved our "cave suite" with breathtaking views and our own private pool. Felt five star and the staff/restaurant on site were amazing. Highly recommend, also we did a few day trips to the surrounding towns Oia, Fira and Imerovigli, easy to get to by taxi and fun to visit but we were so happy to return to our sanctuary at the Grand Ambassador!

The hotel is a beautiful property. The staff is extremely helpful. The restaurant is a little slow on receiving food and drinks especially if you’re in a hurry. The pool was very cold so we were not able to use it at all during the stay. There were a few issues with the water in our room while we were there. The front desk staff helped make the room Beautiful with flowers and candles for one special night. The staff made up for the few issues the hotel lacked. Overall it was a magical stay and I would love to come back

Everything about this resort is top tier!!! From the minute we arrived, staff was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. The property is extremely well maintained and beautiful. We did the half board dining option and it is worth every penny. The meals are cooked fresh, it is not a buffet type of situation. Absolutely delicious! Incredible views of the caldera and sunset. If you are considering booking, I highly encourage you to do so! The ONLY disappointment was that the spa is not currently open, as they are remodeling. If you are unable to get up and down stairs, be mindful that there is no elevator. We are avid gym goers and considerably fit, but it was still a bit challenging for us. I feel sure that if you asked they would send a friendly staff member with a golf cart to bring you to and from your suite. Thank you to the incredible staff for a perfect honeymoon!

Beautiful place and rooms. Best views from every room. We had the 2 bdrm villa and it was huge and the pool deck was just as big and the biews!!

Excellent staff and great scenery

This is our second visit to the Ambassador and we look forward to the next time. The resort is gorgeous with wonderful accommodations and spectacular views. The pool on the terrace is a fabulous perk. Walking distance to Akrotiri with great restaurants. Concierge Pepi is a jewel and booked wonderful excursions

Simply amazing views and beautiful property. We booked a 2 bedroom villa, it was nice but the layout didn't work for us so the manager moved us to another villa with no stairs and it was perfect. The staff was very nice and helpful. The best part was the location, it is located in the south part of the island away from the busy tourist hubs of Fira and Oia but still close to many wonderful restaurants and attractions. The included breakfast was also great with good options.

This property is beyond Iconic. Such close proximity to all tourist attractions, yet providing; privacy, luxury, exclusivity, the best sunsets and a complete 5 diamond resort attraction. A ‘must stay’ for tourist that look for privacy, exclusivity, top dining experience, close proximity to all attractions, safety, security. This resort and staff and the experience a 12 out of 10. A true 5 diamond resort/stay.

The service of the reataurant is very slow

While the service in the restaurant was very good, the value was not, very over priced. Cushions on terrace were extremely dirty. Bathroom tub/shower could use updating. Nice location.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars if not for the food quality and the behavior of the manager, Antonis. The hotel itself is stunning, with superb views. We stayed in a three-room suite with a private pool, and the view from our room was truly spectacular. I want to give special thanks to Eleftheria for her excellent service and to Pepi for her helpful recommendations and for arranging our reservations. However, I must express concern about the manager, Antonis. His lack of professionalism, communication, and managerial skills are a detriment to the hotel’s reputation. It’s unclear how someone with such poor interpersonal abilities was hired for this position. Additionally, the food at the hotel was truly awful—shockingly bad. I strongly recommend that guests plan to eat elsewhere or make alternate arrangements, as the dining experience was far below expectations.
