We heeded all the warnings - if noisy night life might bother you, request a "quieter" room - so we did. We got an excellent room on the top floor, very spacious. All the staff we dealt with where friendly & helpful. We had 2 dinners, one in the more casual restaurant, one in the more formal library - the food was all excellent. The lamb was perfect, as was "Jose's Halibut" - very imaginative plate, everything worked! Excellent value as accommodation and for dining!

This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in on our lil road trip. Beautiful! Love the historic decor. Loved the room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Great breakfast options. Best Açaí bowl! Loved the healthy options.

Beautifully renovated old building with lots of character. We shared a double queen room with friends and there was a bathroom between the two bedrooms. We ate at the restaurant and Atlynn was very friendly and attentive to us. The food was very good with generous portions. Check-in and check-out was very simple and quick when booked through Expedia. However we found if we book directly with Hume hotel we would have gotten free breakfasts.

Awesome hotel with great amenities! Free motorcycle parking as well! Perfect for my trip!

This hotel has so much to offer it’s a gem.

The Hume was our last stop coming home from Canada to the States. It was a refuge for weary travelers. Our room was so spacious and the accommodations were lovely. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was informative and the history of the hotel was very interesting. While it is an historic hotel it provided all the comforts of home!!

Loved the history of this hotel and how beautiful and comfortable it was. Every meal we had was delicious and everyone of the hotel and restaurant/bar staff we communicated with were always so friendly and kind. Beautiful place and we would most definitely stay there again.

This hotel was amazing. Very historic and well preserved. The staff could not have been nicer. There is a parking garage right next door, so parking was convenient and easy. The only drawback is that the bar on the first floor had music that was so loud, the only way I could fall asleep was by using ear plugs. And we were on the 3rd floor. I loved the hotel, but I wouldn't stay there again unless the bar closed down.

Certainly located with a pleasant charm, very nicely renovated rooms with a great restaurant and pub along with pleasant staff.

Older hotel but highly recommend, multiple restaurants to choose from in the hotel. Good service, no on site parking but parkade next door. Room was comfortable and clean, bright and lots of towels. Dry sauna in the Spa was fantastic. Definitely worth it.

Hotel staff members were professional yet friendly and eager to ensure we had a great experience. We were impressed with everything from the very comfortable mattress on our bed to truly excellent dinners in The Library restaurant and lounge. They warned us that the rooms sometimes may not be super quiet due to the hotel's downtown location and the rooms' proximity to a pub inside the hotel. They were even thoughtful enough to provide packaged ear plugs in one of the nightstands but we didn't notice noise to be a problem at all. In fact, we thought our room was surprisingly quiet for such an old albeit remodeled hotel. We also loved all of the historical photos on the walls throughout the hotel, showing pride in the establishment's and Nelson area's past.

Very nice , clean . Staff good . Right in the center of town , easy access & walk to town . Parking right next door . Has great restaurants, a pub & outdoor area to have drinks & some food .

Hume hotel was very comfortable & staff went the extra mile to assist with our requests.

I’ve stayed here virtually every time I visit Nelson and the Hume is the place to be, bar none. Still retains its old world charm but amenities are modern and flawlessly renovated. I would absolutely recommend the Hume as it’s a great hotel and definitely has a high end luxury feel for reasonable price.

Love thus Hotel! Food is incredible! Book direct and get thd Breakfast. So many options in Nelson.
