In the country and very quiet.

A lovely country retreat just out of Mt Gambier. Quiet, comfortable and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. Hearing the birds singing was a joy.

Really disappointed, I travel regularly for work but this was a private weekend away. I was looking forward to the country, quaint cottage and the accommodation was as i expected. I am incredibly disappointed in the fact that the accommodation was supported to include a continental breakfast and yet there was nothing there not even bottled water. There was coffee/sugar sachets and a couple of the milk thimbles but nothing else so after driving 6 hours we had to drive back into townto buy basics. I then received an email with a receipt after i left with todays date as the charge on my card even though i paid in full 23 days ago. No response from my query from the hosts at all, I wanted confirmation that they had not recharged me without authorisation.

Lovely surroundings and room spacious with comfy bed and nice linens

Quiet, with a view with animal and nature. 10min drive to towns for shopping or tourist area, very convenient. Family friendly and kitchen area allows cooking was nice.

Loved our there, very comfy. Just a couple of things could be improved - The step down into the bath room worried us, we left the light on overnight to remind us. Also the path to our chalet, needs a couple of areas tidied up, as pavers are lifting. Those are OHS issues, as these are big items with older visitors like us. We can't "afford" to have falls. Just an idea as well, If the big mirror was moved or removed, a much larger TV at a lower level would be fantastic. The current position is much to high.

Comfortable home. The family that managed it were wonderful to work with. Would use again.

Property needs repair and updating. Quaint is now looking tired.

The accommodation is surrounded by a pretty garden and an orchard and is in a very quiet and tranquil location. It is down the road from an excellent restaurant.

The owner was fantastic giving us directions when we were lost.

Lovely Natural Surroundings, an abundance of Birds, Chalets themselves were Clean, Tidy, well Serviced.

Beautiful and relaxing stay. Really enjoyed the 2 nights we spent there.

Claredon Chalets are beautifully appointed accomodation meeting all the needs of a family. Thae gardens are brilliant and the birds are highly entertaining. Peaceful country accomodation within great proximity of so many things to see and do.

We enjoyed our stay in the peaceful countryside.

The room had a very bad odour when we arrived/ we left the screen open to allow fresh air in however this made no improvement. There was no one at reception so we couldn’t request a new room. I believe the smell was possibly a dead possum in the roof ???? Also the carpet was a type of rough hessian material which was very coarse on the feet. Overall a very disappointing stay 😐

Just a fantastic place to stay. Wonderful room and outside had gorgeous landscaping! Wish we could have spent more than one night here

Clarendon chalets are a long way from Mt.Gambier. That said they are comfy, and wellish equipped. Biggest issue is poor breakfast. Toast and Vegemite is NOT a "continental breakfast", that requires yoghurt and pastries. Perhaps better for families than couples.
