Hotel was in a very good location if you don't want to pay for lakefront lodging. While the a/c wasn't working in part of the hotel, they put fans in all the rooms. They moved us to a room with working a/c for the second night and gave us a rate adjustment for the first night. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, especially Anna Marie and Ileana and also the manager. Would definitely stay again!

Vi havde kun en enkelt overnatning på Borgo Antico på vores vej hjem med toget fra Firenze mod Danmark. Meget hyggeligt hotel. Vi havde en lille terrasse til værelset som vi nød meget. Rigtig god morgenmad. Stille og rolig beliggenhed med kort gåafstand til stationen men også til den gamle bydel og søen. Kan kun anbefales.

This hotel is on a side street, very close to the rail station - There is a long flight of 4” terraced steps, but it is not difficult to go down or come back up From the hotel

Best breakfast I've had during my stay in Italy. The fresh fruits & hot chocolate were simply divine. And Emanuel of the front desk was so helpful in giving directions & tips during our stay in Como.

The front staff were amazing. We had a difficult time teaching Como as the trains were on strike and they had extreme weather with lots of flooding. We were very wet when we arrived and they had our rooms ready. We were able to change into dry clothes as soon as we arrived. Great advice on dinner options.

We loved the lovely, quaint, historic hotel. The service was the best and our accommodations were comfortable. We were walking distance to the pier, funicular and restaurants. The hotel was a little tricky to find (better signage would have helped) and the public parking was not convenient, but we know that is often the trade off when staying in the Old Town centers in Europe.

Great place to stay. Staff was great. Easy and walkable to Como San Giovanni train station and to Lake Como.

Calm, cool and convenient for public transport and a wonderfully welcoming staff. We slept well, had a good breakfast and would certainly stay again especially if arriving by train.

Sehr gepflegt, wir fühlten uns willkommen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Obwohl es in der Stadt ist, Bahnhof S. Giovanni um die Ecke, Innenstadt und See in 10 Min zu Fuß, war es nachts überraschend ruhig. Da kommen wir gern wieder hin.

From checkin to checkout, the Hotel Borgo Antico was the perfect stay. We were happily pleased when buzzed in as it was like stepping into an unexpected sanctuary from the somewhat "blah" street. And a huge plus is that just doors down were two very good restaurants, one a casual pub style with traditional Italian food and the other an enchanting gourmet garden restaurant with great ambiance, food and wine. The Terrace garden is a big plus, a relaxing place to unwind. The entire hotel was immaculate. So impressed at how clean everything was. Our room was on the back side so we had views of beautiful rock formations and it was really quiet. Our bathroom was large and boasted a fantastic shower. The receptionist checking us in took the time to draw on the local map and recommended several restaurants. This place is in walking distance from the Lake Como, the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta - Duomo. and the funicular and Old Town... all within 30 minutes. Breakfast was included with a coffee bar where you could get tasty specialty coffees (also included). I'd stay here again. It's a fantastic base camp to explore Como.

Good for an overnight stay
