This is a wonderful thatched roof hotel, so old and quaint. Beds were super comfortable, room clean if a bit dated. The pub was wonderful, food was great. Highly recommend for authentic english experience.

Great stay as we travelled down to the South West. Friendly atmosphere, good food, and lovely location.

The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation from the landlord? Dogs welcome on a lead in bar & rooms.

Good beer, Good menu, good food. Excellent breakfast. There was an open mic evening when we stayed, which was very entertaining. Loved our stay, will do it again soon.

It was our 3 time in staying at the hatchet inn it was good ,but not its usual standard ,the room above us which was no 3 the occupant decided to go bed at midnight waking us up ,by banging doors running up and down the stairs making a lot noise in the room this went on for 2 hours ,then at 4 am they started being noisy again didn’t get much sleep ,it did ruin our stay

A quiet stay where the noise of silence and occasional birdsong was fantastic. Great hosts all the way from check in, through dinner, plentiful breakfast and check out.

Excellent place to stay, full of character the food was awesome, definitely staying again.

As always, the stay here was excellent with pleasant staff and good food. Will be staying again next month and the only thing I could suggest for improvement would be the shower door and handset in room 6.

This is a beautiful looking old inn, with great food. It is popular with locals and I have stayed 3 times on work trips and will continue to use it in the future.

Excellent food. Room average. Would not accept AMEX although advertised on site in windows and on website!!!

Idyllic thatched country inn in quiet hamlet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ambience in the bar and restaurant areas was great.

Great los pub. Beautiful gardens around the property. Great size room. Bathroom needs updating for sure. Good food and great staff specially Fiona.

The room we stayed in smelled like mildew. Took our luggage to the car rather than leave in room. Room #1. Food was good. Beer choice fine. Nice old pub.

Environnement extra - Bâtisse avec beaucoup de cachet et de caractère. Très bon confort des chambres et de la literie. Repas de très bonne qualité (petit-déjeuner et dîner) à un prix justifié. Personnel et patron supers sympas ! Bref, séjour parfait !
