Decent size room with very comfortable bed. We were allowed a very early check in at 10am and there was choice of English Breakfast, Veggie Breakfast, Scrambled eggs and poached eggs on toast etc as well as various cereals, juice and toast. 5 minute walk to Ryde centre and 10 minute walk to Hovercraft.

The hotel was clean but my room was outdated and in need of repair. Rusty toilet seat hinges, broken bath panel, ill fitting Lino, taps too small for the basin (can’t get your hands underneath them) the chair in the room was broken, the room could do with a mirror near to a plug socket. The bed was clean and comfortable. Parking outside is convenient.

A good hotel just a short uphill walk from the ferry & hover points with a convenient bus stop nearby. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We would definitely stay again.

Taking account of the fact our stay was a budget stay, I felt we received value for money for many reasons. Location was central, not far from town centre. On the arrival day, we arrived lots of delays as missed a coach and had to find another way to get into the island. Even though we got to the hotel much later than planned, we were enabled to be shown our room . The bedroom was on the ground floor, as I'd requested on my booking form, even thought it was a late booking. The bedroom was a little tired, but clean and warm so acceptable. Location was central and had our arrival gone to plan, and it's only the fact that our plans were altered, which isn't anyone's fault and they were a helpful with our issues when our problems were communicated earlier in the day. Can't expect more than that. Breakfast was very good. Fresh and tasty and efficient. We were using public transport but understand there was free parking, just can't comment on that.

Very nice hotel which is centrally located and ideal for both town and the esplanade, breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The shower pressure was good and the only change I would make to a premier room would be a larger TV and a fridge. Otherwise it was the perfect place to stay.

The superb and kind staff make The Dorset a success! It enjoys a convenient location and feels like you're staying with old friends.

The breakfast menu is good. Property has own free parking. Good localisation. Not far to Ryde Esplanade and town center.

Quiet, efficient family run hotel, lovely staff, good value and nice breakfast. 10-minutes easy walk from Ryde seafront/Esplanade, and from St John's Road station.

Spacious off-street parking behind the hotel. A warm welcome and efficient staff. Clean, neat room and ensuite. Lots of hot water, soft towels. Comfortable bed. Nicely cooked breakfast with excellent eggs, bacon and toast, coffee and juice (other options available). Staff deserve a special commendation - there was an unexpected power cut in that part of town in the morning, but they managed to serve an excellent hot breakfast with no fuss or delays. Thank you!

The bathroom was a very tight fit with a tiny basin. Shower not working easily. A good mattress Good cooked breakfast but had impression that we should continue our conversation with our friends upstairs! Staff could have engaged a little more in conversation

Limited choice of food .Crockery was not clean.Staff uncommunicative.Parking at the rear of the property was difficult because of parked cars there was literally inches either side of our car and the brick wall. Will not return and will not recommend.

Reception not welcoming looked miserable or helpful eg showing me where things were etc.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking was a big plus. Easy walking distance to shops and Esplanade. Hotel was very clean but dated. Extremely low shower pressure in our room.

Everything was great, except the lack of pillows . The food was gorgeous, the rooms were lovely, granted the shower wasnt the best, it worked so ot was all i could ask for really (:

The hotel is close to the hovercraft ferry. I had to call someone to check in, since the reception is not staffed all the time. I was traveling by bicycle and they have a shed for safe storage. The breakfast is chosen from a menu with a few options. Restaurants are about a 10 minute walk away. The shower had very low waterflow.
