Hot shower is weak…

The Kumkum hotel was as expected for the price range. Overall it was good, easy to check in. We came in the middle of the night. They served food and this was also of good quality. The hotel rooms were small the bathroom was small, but newly upgraded and of good quality. We had problems getting warm water for shower. We could pay with Apple Pay For a place to sleep and rest in the middle of a journey I would use it again.

The outside was not a problem just not what we are accustomed to. Walked it safely in the day without issues

The hotel turned out to be better than our expectations. It has the same average Mumbai hotel room size but with really clean amenities, generous staff and a beautiful rooftop. The only thing that could be improved is probably installing a lift within the facility and increasing the water pressure in the taps

Je descends toujours sur cet hôtel là, mais là je vais changer parce que le réceptionniste de mauvaise foi aucun service rendu, un employé toujours à la porte pour quémander des pourboires,bouge pas tant qu’on donne pas. Cet hôtel est devenu n’importe quoi. C’est dommage

Nice hotel at walking distance from Mumbai Central Station. The location is not particularly nice, but the hotel rooms are large, quiet, tidy and with all amenities. The hotel offers kitchen room services and advices for travellers

Rooms were small but good. However restuarant very small with very limited offerings. Just one poor guy to do everything there! Lots of improvements can be had. Check out time is 9 30am.

Kumkum est un hôtel simple pour budget moyen. À ce titre, Il est parfait. Le personnel est très efficace!

Property was very clean comfortable.. quaint little rooftop eating place. Best fried eggs ever! Staff very helpful. About a ten minute cab ride to kemp’s corner.

Hotel simples, quarto pequeno a com cheiro a mofo. Cozinha no último andar co. Pratos económicos e simples. Recepção no 1. Andar. Para dormir ok, mas só.

Good but not great

THE GOOD: compared to other hotels in the area, room size was really good for me. The food is delicious and excellent value for money. The staff are all polite and friendly, the room was cleaned as many times as I wished. The bathroom was clean and cute. THE BAD- WiFi problems due to construction work in the area (not the hotels fault). Walls are quite thin so ask not to be put too close to families with kids! Due to Uber strike I had some problems getting taxis from the hotel. If you want to sleep in, be warned, staff start their work very early and they are not quiet about it. Every morning from 7am they were banging around with buckets outside my room and shouting down the corridors to each other. Other than that, the hotel is great value for money when compared to other hotels in the area and was considerably nicer that my colleagues nearby, who paid quite a lot more for theirs.

I've stayed twice at Hotel Kumkum and its location and the friendly, easygoing staff make it a favouriteofmine.
