The staff at Zomay is great. They are helpful, informative, and do everything in their power to make the guests comfortable. This is a simple beach front stay. There aren’t many amenities, but with the proximity to the beach and central downtown there is no need for the extras. Their food and drinks were some of the best I tried compared to other hotels in the same area. I really enjoyed my stay there and I will be back.

My husband and I stayed at Zomay Hotel in Isla Holbox for 5 days and had a wonderful experience. The facility is beautiful, clean, and has such a relaxing island atmosphere. The gorgeous beach was absolutely stunning, and the beach bar was amazing — such a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the island vibes. What truly made our stay special was the staff — they were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and we loved that they referred to guests by name, which made the experience feel very personal. Evening meals were scrumptious and served right on the beach, making sunset dinners an unforgettable experience. The only small drawback is that the pool is not located directly on site, which may be inconvenient for some. However, it certainly didn’t take away from our overall experience. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Zomay Hotel on our next trip to Isla Holbox!

Being truly pet-friendly made all the difference — Bruno felt just as welcomed as we did. Brief power outages common in Holbox

The staff is the best we have experienced on the island. Very attentive and helpful with anything we needed. The site manager went above and beyond for this our wedding arrangements. Even though we had a very small wedding with just close friends and family, he made it special. The Zomay team did a great job setting up the terrace where we had our ceremony overlooking the Gulf. It was way above our expectations. Muchas gracias Zomay! Nosotros volveremos pronto!

We our family of the five who stayed here during our Christmas holiday. We loved that the hotel was directly on the beach. It has a lovely breakfast. the whole area is very calm, even though it’s close to the village. The staff were nice and super helpful. We had a great day and would absolutely recommend this hotel.

We had the best experience at Zomay! Wonderful food, lovely entertainment, and a fantastic location right by the sea. The absolute best hotel I have ever experienced in Mexico. The staff was amazing. The room was great. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the beach there is not nice at all. There is no effort to clean the seaweed or mess off the beachfront even though the property itself is beautiful. I would say if you are a person who isn’t interested in going in the water this is a great place but if you want to swim and enjoy the water. This isn’t the place. Also there is an Airbnb beside the hotel which was extremely noisy 2 nights of are stay until very late. Not within the hotels control of course. Bring ear plugs just in case.

Beachfront property. I was a solo traveler with a pet. Property states is pet friendly but pet can not be left in room at any time is beyond a restriction anf should be definitely noted instead of contact property for me information. Concierge is not available after 10 which should absolutely be told to all guests upon arrival which I wasn’t. Breakfast was the best part and sunset was nice. Extremely disappointed with my experience and hope my review saves you from the inconvenience I experienced.

Perfect introduction to the island of Holbox. The staff made our stay excellent, and our room was good. Breakfast was included and it was good. The location was great, away from the noise and close enough to walk. It is pet friendly too. We recommend!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property needs repairs and updates. The sargasso was not cleaned on the beach and the water was dirty. They could use a mat at the door to the room to prevent tracking in sand. The beds were not very comfortable. The AC worked well and we had hot water. The breakfast was good and there were plenty of options. The location was close to downtown and not a far walk. Next time would stay on the other end of the island where the beaches are nicer.

The staff was exceptional. The location was perfect. The food and drinks were better than anywhere else we tried. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

The room was lovely and staff were super helpful and friendly! Me and my partner absolutely loved the walk through the garden to the beach front, where there is shaded spots and comfy recliners. Close enough to the centre of town, not so close that you can hear the street. Only thing to possibly note at time of review is there are building works going on in the site next door so the mornings can be loud. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend.

This property was exactly what we were looking for in a Holbox hotel. Rustic looking, but higher end decor and amenities. Fresh water supplied in your room and refill ability right at the front desk, without charge. Sun cabanas were not crowded together like some other close properties. Great cocktails from the beach bar and a very nice sundown event with a live entertainer and full staff for cocktails and appetizers. Speaking of appetizers, the spicy tuna sushi was some of the best I had ever had. Cannot wait to come back to this property. Would highly recommend it for anyone that has not been to Holbox before as it is close to downtown shops and restaurants also.
