The hotel changed our property prior I think this was because we booked a 1bedroom but it actually had two (though a queried as soon as I booked and advised it was ok) and wanted us to move to a smaller apartment to off sell the 2bedroom as we bought on a 1bedroom rate, while we agreed to the “upgrade” at the peninsula boutique as we weren’t part of the hotel we weren’t aloud to have full access ie no room cleaning, breakfast (and were queried initially if we were aloud to sit in the designated hotel guest sits at breakfast even though we were staying there and paid for our meals) or pool towels (however were provided 2at the start for 5 days) it made us feel like we weren’t part of the hotel and somewhat like 2nd class guest, this hotel its also adults only which they said would be better for a young couple, however the Port Douglas Botique Penisula was def for a much older ground, I appreciated the communication from seascape but all the strict conditions and limitations were not communicated until after we agreed to the hotel change much later or when we arrived which I wish was flagged prior to us agreeing to the change
