The front desk staff greeted me and had us checked in what seemed like a mere two minutes. She was polite and professional. The room was nice. It has had a recent upgrade. We did notice a slight gap in the door that was enough to let small bugs in. It was about 2 ft up on the bottom and about a ft down from the top. While I was out and grabbed some 3/8" thick peel and stick weather strip and it wasn't quite enough to fill the gap. In the haste of enjoying the beautiful garden and courtyard and how fast check out was, I forgot to mention it to the morning staff. The bed was one of, if not the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. I told my family the commercial about a HI, needs to be changed. I woke up chipper, and beyond ready to face the day. My wife asked what I was all peppy, and I said, "I stayed at a Cascades Inn last night". Lol. But it's true. That bed was so amazing I pulled the bedding to see what brand it was. It's a hotel exclusive bed, but I'm sure there is something close out there. Just when I thought nothing could get better, then came the shower. It was super hot, and the pressure and volume behind it felt like all the water from all the fire hoses from a 5 alarm fire! It was just an old basic shower head, but the volume and pressure were incredible. We jotted down for the free breakfast which was you basic contenental style. Muffins, breads and bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereals, etc. Still good. I'll be back for sure! No doubt

The staff and service was excellent. The room had a great bed and was a nice set up for a more affordable motel option. It wasn't the most luxurious place, but I think for the price, this is a great option. The rooms are nice and more spacious than I was expecting. There was plenty of parking as well.

Just a night stay while out of town and then back on the road. Room was nice and clean and was able to Check-in at noon without a fee.. they also had a nice flower garden for a courtyard. Only real complaint would have been their breakfast.No good really wasn't one, and if you smoke, then you have to go literally, like off property to a designated smoking area.You couldn't just smoke outside your room. And they require a two hundred and fifty dollar deposit down on the room which I thought was a bit high.

Stayed on the garden, courtyard side..cute. Staff is friendly and for an older inn it was quaint.

We love cascades for a quiet and easy getaway. It’s everything you need in a hotel stay and they have a lovely garden and a cozy little bar right on site!

We stayed in room 39. We couldn’t figure out the smell it had. Got to looking & the room had tons of mold in it. They moved our room. The grounds are poorly cared for as well. The rooms were not very clean. I don’t understand how housekeeping never found the mold before us. You could smell it. The entire room was very damp. Horrible experience. We will never stay there again.

Very cute little hotel! Stayed here randomly and was pleasantly surprised. A cute little bar is attached too. The patio/garden area is nice. If I would have had more time I would have enjoyed coffee and read my book out there. Only negatives was the room smelling musty and there was water on the bathroom floor.

Absolutely loved the garden area. So beautiful and peaceful

Lovely bedroom, quality and environmentally friendly soaps; the same is true for the buffet breakfast, including excellent coffee, real half and half and porcelain mugs. Dont let the somewhat run down exterior fool you! This is excellent value for money and a real gem.

Landscape was very unkept

Clean and relatively quiet place. It’s convenient to get to popular places, and just far enough off the main road so it’s quiet. They have live music on the weekend, which is cool!

I always stay at the Cascades when in Bloomington. It is different, in a nice way.

I will stay there again

I loved this hotel. It is like an old fashioned motel where you park in front of your room. They had a lovely garden patio in the back. The bed was really comfortable and the front desk people were both kind and helpful. Even though there were always a lot of cars, I rarely saw or heard anyone else. It was a lovely stsy.

We stayed here before. It is so convenient to IU. Staff are always friendly, and the room is so quiet, comfortable bed, and a quiet "hidden garden" that is so serene. It has plenty of towels, cups, coffee, tea, in the room a nice soap and body lotion.

The lobby is must and unkempt, the parking lot, stairs, and walkways are in disrepair. The room was clean but the furniture has peeling veneer, the toilet didn’t have enough water pressure to flush properly, and the tub wouldn’t drain. I feel bad for those patrons spending $1000/night over family weekend. This place was barely worth the $64/night that I spent.

For me this place is perfect. Love love love the flowers!!!! Staff are very kind.

There's a vintage vibe about this property, and it's a little shaggy (overgrown plants, etc.), which I liked. I get the sense it's an older motel that has been updated thoughtfully and with love. Clean and very good value for the $. Bed comfortable, AC worked fine. No place in room to sit and eat, but that's not a big problem. Did not eat the breakfast but they do have one. I'd stay again.
