We stayed at the hotel for three nights and paid an average of €500 per night. For a five-star hotel, we honestly expected much more. The hotel felt quite outdated, and the wellness and spa area was not well maintained. We noticed numerous spider webs, insects, and dirt throughout the spa, and it was clear that the property is showing its age and no longer reflects the photos advertised online. To make matters worse, we experienced an invasion of around 20 cockroaches during our stay. This is simply unacceptable for a five-star hotel. Overall, we do not believe the quality of the hotel justifies the price charged. Unfortunately, the value for money was very disappointing.

Rooms were a bit outdated and blah not making for a great place to spend time. AC in room was hit or miss and closet light didn't close. Amenities in room were simple poor man choices. Food options were limited but local cuisine was way more expensive than local. Breakfast was so so and free so no complaint. The indoor pool, sauna were ok but consistently overbooked. Surprised no room service just water cookies at lobby. Overall the view and convenience to must see places give it light pass coupled with the AWESOME STAFF. THIS TEAM WAS THE SAVING GRACE, I would not relate this to a5 star hotel.

Our stay at Octant Furnas was exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the food was excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring the Furnas area. What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable. The highlight came on my birthday. Throughout the day, several staff members wished me a happy birthday, which was a thoughtful touch. Later that evening, I mentioned it to one of the staff members and asked how everyone seemed to know. He smiled and explained that they share that information among the team so they can make guests feel special. Then he surprised me even more. He said, "You were in Ribeira Quente today." When I asked how he knew that, he laughed and said, "You walked past my house, and I thought, 'I know that guy!'" It was such a genuine and personal moment that perfectly captured the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Azores.

The hotel is exceptional and the area where it is located is breathtaking. While you have to pay in order to use the geothermal pools anywhere else on the island, there are geothermal pools right here in the hotel for your use anytime of the day or night! The hotel leaves little treats and trinkets in your room for you throughout most of your stay, there are incredible tasting teas with cookies in the lobby area, and breakfast was divine! We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel felt very personal and almost like I was in a paradise. The staff was always friendly and helpful, no matter what we needed they were always able to accommodate. What I really enjoyed was the thermal pools, it made the entire hotel feel more in nature, additionally they were never stingy with their towels unlike some hotels that put a limit on you. Overall great location and amazing experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a paradise getaway. Looking forward to coming back next year!

This is a fantastic place to stay, surrounded by a lovely village, and so much beauty. Highly recommend

Wonderful stay at the hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff great restaurant serving authentic cuisine a wonderful buffet breakfast with all foods you would ever want to eat and drink located in a great spot for daily excursions and pure relaxation. The garden with the pool is fantastic, very quaint and restful. I wholeheartedly recommended for it splendor, location, and just a luxurious feel.

The Octant Furnas has a great vibe. It's a magical place. Be sure to enjoy the outdoor barbecue - it was like having dinner in a secret garden.

The best place we could have imagined spending our honeymoon. The staff was incredible and the hotel itself was breathtaking. Absolutely will be coming back!

Huge breakfast bar, grest dinner food, service 10 stars. Hot.pools are best feature. It was so good that we returned after a couple of day after chevkout just for a dip in y be pool (spa visit). If we return on tbe island, we'll stay in this hotel.

Truly an amazing experience

The staff is amazing. Best staff I’ve ever had at a spa stay. The food is amazing, facilities are great, surrounding area is out of this world.

What really made the stay exceptional was the people. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The team went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of, and their hospitality made the experience feel personal.

Very nice hotel and especially great service of the hotel staff. Food, breakfast and dinner, were always very delicious. The hotel itself ist really nice looking, however, you can see in some parts, that is a bit older and may need a renovation. Still, definitely recommend it.
