rooms clean, serviced daily and excellent staff all round

All of the staff are great pleasant people

Thought the location would be noisy, but the rooms were nicely tucked away behind the pub. Rooms are not spacious, but are well maintained and cleaned daily. Only issue I came across was that the shower waste needs some drain unblocker, but I'm not going to score them down for something that might never have been reported to them. Would definately recommend for a one or two night stay. Buxton too, is well worth a visit.

I always enjoy staying at Queens head when I am in Buxton: good people, good service and unpretentious lovely place to stay.

A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom.

Really lovely room, set away from the pub. A band playing on Saturday night, and couldn't hear them from my room. Staff lovely, as we're the regulars who I got chatting to when I popped into the pub for a drink. Thanks for a great stay

Room clean, bathroom a bit small (room 10). Staff friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the entertainment - which is why we chose this hotel at weekends.

Lovely clean room & very little noise from the pub, which was absolutely rocking, on Saturday night. Helpful & friendly staff (who also sorted the heating for us). My Mum had the ground floor ‘accessible’ room as she has trouble with stairs & that’s AMAZING. It’s a great spot to access the town: love Buxton. Our second time there & will be returning.

Beware. The first photo paints a brighter picture than the reality, which is a courtyard at the back of a standard drinkers pub , which would never be described as warm and cosy. Despite the photo, the courtyard is full of wooden benches and a temporary structure for smokers. It's a simple bed and breakfast that is clean and if priced accordingly would be OK. Despite having to go through the pub the room was quiet. But it is not priced accordingly. I wouldn't recommend or stay again.

Very clean .excellent location and great staff.live music was great only downside was the breakfast was on the small side for £12.50.but they have gone out of there way to post something back to me which I left in my room

Trevlig personal och ett väldigt fräscht hotell! Nedervåningen är pub med öppet sent men det hördes inte in till rummet. Relativt bekväma sängar och bra möjlighet att ställa in temperatur på rummet. Parkeringsmöjligheter finns i närheten.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Queens Head Hotel! From the moment we stepped into the pub to the moment we checked out, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or attentive — they truly made us feel at home. The location is spot-on, right on the high street with loads of bars, restaurants, and shops just steps away. Even though the hotel is connected to a lively pub, they close the back door after 9pm, so it’s perfectly peaceful in the rooms behind. We slept like babies! And the breakfast? Top-notch — delicious and satisfying. If you’re looking for a warm, well-located place with fantastic service, I’d wholeheartedly recommend The Queens Head Hotel. Five stars all the way! 🌟
