Just brilliant!

Greeted by lovely staff. Room was very pokey with a flood in the bathroom. The receptionist, although came across as slightly reluctant to move us (due to the hotel being fully booked) did do his best to move us. Quite a bit of noise from 5am from local businesses emptying bottles etc into their bins. Breakfast very good and tasty but could have done with a better fruit selection. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Great bar area and food. Onsite parking could be cheaper as £15 per night is a bit steep especially with the hotel accommodation being so expensive.

Room was very clean. There were one or two small signs of wear and tear which will need attention at some point. We did expect a little fridge seeing as it was a deluxe room. Other than than the McRae suite was lovely .

Very good, recommended. Lovely for a couples weekend. Lively bar atmosphere with an older crowd in the main.

Lovely stay. In the annex and the room had recently been refurbished. Great breakfast and evening meal. Close to everything.

The hotel’s location is excellent, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended for me. If you park in the hotel car park, your first impression isn’t great. The entrance is at the back of the building, past the kitchen area, leading to a rather dark and uninspiring reception entrance. Check-in was efficient enough. My room felt dark and was extremely warm. There was no air conditioning and no complimentary bottled water in the room. The pillows were also quite cheap and uncomfortable. On the first morning I mentioned to reception how hot the room had been and asked if there was air conditioning. I was told there wasn’t, so I asked if a fan could be put in my room. I naturally expected it would be waiting there when I returned that evening, but it wasn’t. The following morning I raised it again and explained that I’d now spent a second uncomfortably hot night without the fan I’d requested. I was surprised to be told that guests are expected to collect a full-size fan from reception themselves. What disappointed me most was that, even after it was obvious I was unhappy and had now gone two nights without the fan I’d specifically asked for, nobody offered to take it up to my room. It would have taken a member of staff only a couple of minutes, but instead I was expected to carry it upstairs myself. That felt like a very poor level of customer service and left me feeling that guest comfort simply wasn’t a priority.

We stayed during the recent heatwave and the fan in the room was very poor, which resulted in 2 sleepless nights!

Just one thing was the room we were in 411 was very hot, when asked for a fan on the first night they didn’t have any left and our windows only opened a few inches on the second night we got a fan but it was broken with a crack on the bottom so made to much noise to use. It wonderful sleep unfortunately.

Excellent room, view to side and park at front. Only downside heated towel rail in bathroom, due to extreme heat we have been experiencing it’s a shame this could not of been turned off. Brilliant location for all amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful with local information and advising where to visit if you fancy going further afield, we visited Knaresborough and York both using public transport very cheap and run every 15 mins. Would definitely stay again.

Just had another night at the White Hart, or favourite place to stay in the lovely town of Harrogate.

Beautiful hotel . Had no issues at all . Check in and out was seamless . Only problem I had was mirror was too high in bathroom to see as I’m 5 Ft 1 could only see top of my head . Bottle bank was emptied early in morning and having window open it was very loud .

Very comfortable and clean room and friendly staff. Only downside there was no view as we were at the back of the hotel overlooking the carpark.

Better breakfast and car parking at other hotels in the area .. it was ok but I wouldn’t recommend

Great room and bar with nice food

Our booking was made in February 2026 and we arrived to find we were not staying in the hotel but in an adjacent building 100 yards away which housed apartments. The weekend was to celebrate my 80th birthday and luckily I am sufficiently agile to overcome the steps getting into the apartment. It could possibly have been more convenient and cheaper to have booked a nearby travel lodge.

Lovely hotel we’ve stayed many times and never been disappointed. Ideal location and great bar.

On the whole a good night. However, our room was right beside the outside garden, so it was very noisy until way past midnight. The breakfast was very nice and the attached restaurant served good quality food.

Our room needed a bit of an update but had a very clean comfortable bed. The pressure in the shower was quite bad and only very small toiletries. Loved the bar, and staff are lovely. Would definitely stay again as the location is perfect. Thank you.
