Location was excellent, free parking onsite and the town is lovely to walk around. Food at the pub was good and the owner was lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was good as well and we could take our dog. The room itself was a little run down but clean and perfectly adequate. The only negative were that the walls are very thin between rooms. We unfortunately had a family staying next door with a screaming baby and we could hear everything, which kept us up until after midnight. Other than that, I would stay here again.

It was great for what we needed at the time. Room was clean, although the bed was a little bit creaky. Staff were amazing. The bar had loads of character, it’s a pity there was no food available on the Monday night we stayed. Breakfast was delicious, full English. We will definitely stay there again

Clean room. Frirndly staff. Located in a pretty village with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. Close to Hafren Forest, Elan Valley.

Llani was active and abuzz because Prince William and Princess Kate had done a 2 hour surprise visit to Newtown and Llanidloes…. St David’s Day Weekend was quite fun and interesting. The food at the Mount Inn is superb and worth the visit alone…!!! I plan on returning to the Mount Inn 4.Aug..!!!! That says it all…

Other than one issue spoken about with proprietor, who said some works planned, cannot fault. So friendly, approachable and even small touch like providing a large bowl of hot crispy roast potatoes whilst watching the Wales vs France rugby wonderful. Breakfast really good, bed comfortable nights sleep. Would stay again

Staff really friendly. Room was ok (warm, comfortable with good hot water pressure in the bathroom), and just what we expected for a simple break in the countryside. Breakfast being included was also really handy. Had dinner in the pub on the night of our stay which was excellent

The bar area was good nice and friendly staff Food was and reasonably priced I could'nt have the full breakfast due to having to be out early but i did have some cornflakes and toast and a sausage sandwich to take away The breakfast did look good that others had..The bedroom was disappointing The smell from the drain s in the bathroom ,mould in the shower area due to lack of ventilation,and dirty shower .No bathroom ameanities ,no soap or anything only towels.The kettle had to sit on the floor due to lack of socket and the television. was on the wall and the lead just about reached the socket on an adjacent wall. Bed was comfortable and clean

Great location, good old friendly village pub with well equipped, comfortable room and nice food. Shops and eating places nearby if the pub's food doesn't do it for you - but I can't see why it wouldn't. Nice people running the place - very welcoming, also nice and quiet. My second visit, and it won't be my last

Nice to be in an annexe so no noise from the pub. Accomodation was good for the price paid and the pub was an excellent local and well patronised. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
