I find it very homely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is close to the major shopping hubs, but in a very quiet neighborhood. This is my second time here and surely come back again

Room #2 is close to a staff toilet which stank to high heaven. In fact, public area in that building smelled as though I'm entering a public toilet. I didn't feel the food is prepared fresh. The toilet didn't flush well. I don't mean it's broken, but the model is not good.

We checked in around early morning 4 AM. We found it difficult to wake up the receptionist. We were on high hopes because of Pose Garden area. The property pictures is so good and beautiful in the website. We found the room is so dark and not elegant as what we had seen in the pictures. Worst bathroom.

Quiet space with friendly, accommodating staff and a great breakfast.

The property is located in the heart of a urban and posh part of Chennai and is on a quiet and pleasant compound with historical features. Everything is well kept and fair priced. Staff is very professional, friendly and attentive. The breakfast is included and food and beverages are fresh and high quality, offering a really nice experience.

Ambience is good. We had a pleasant time. Not much noise. We felt like that we r away fromthe city.

Loved to stay where it is wuiet calm and peaceful and staff always smiling and helped us instantly whatever we ask. We have stayed there before and definitely will stay and recommend it to others

Pretty nive location, awesome staff and beautiful environment are some of the features of this property. The buffet breakfast is homemade and mostly includes South Indian dishes. The rooms are spacious and very clean. When it comes to amenities, the property provides all that you look for in a 3 star property. The rooms are well equipped with TV, mini fridge, wardrobes, comfortable beds and the bathrooms have geyser, toiletries and dental kit. The service of the staff is really praiseworthy in that they make sure all the needs of the residents are taken care of quickly. Overall, it was a great experience for all of us and we'd definitely be staying here once we're in Chennai again. Thank you, Expedia!

This property is situated in one of the most upscale localities of Chennai, in Poes Garden area. It's a stylish villa but one that's converted into a hotel. The residents develop a sort of community of their own. They wish and interact with each other in the common areas. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty nice concept. The staff are very much customer oriented in their approach and are always willing to satisfy the customers. I will definitely stay here again!!

Great location and staff. Rm #2 is in the middle of a public area, therefore noisy. The room was also dark with no windows. Internet connection is poor and to achieve a basic connection, in this public area, one is subjected to mosquitos

Overall a very good experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating of requests. The room was adequate and the toilet was clean which I truly appreciated. Little bit dusty around/behind the beds which is a minor issue. There are 2 things that need improvement. 1. Breakfast/food in general: Lacked day to day variety. Felt like eating the same thing everyday. Could have better flavors and options. 2. Since my room was on the ground floor adjacent to one of the mini lobbies and the driveway it felt a bit noisy at times when guests arrived/left the premises. Maybe a sign or rules to have absolute silence during the hours of 11pm - 7am would be helpful. Other than these I would highly recommend this rather over looked property which is in a great location in Chennai. Would stay there again.

Recently, I booked this hotel for my parents and siblings. They had a wonderful stay! The customer service was exceptional and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was fantastic! We highly recommend it to anyone who would prefer a calm and quiet stay in Chennai. It is an oasis of peace in the middle of a busy city. Overall, excellent! We will return again to this place.

I have stayed at many hotels in the past, but none of them can stack up to the comfort and atmosphere of Hanu's. The breakfast was amazing, the hotel staff were polite and rather accommodating especially a manager named Praveen. Overall the hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Chennai.
