Friendly Staff

No issue with anything at this hotel. Staff are super friendly. Will be back.

Outdated bathroom with signs of corrosion, silicone should be changed too… Food in the restaurant was nothing special. GREAT GYM ! One of the best hotel gyms I’ve been to. Well done on that!

Someone needs to learn how to make porridge if they are to have it on the menu. Apart from that it ticked our boxes.

The staff are great, very friendly, but the hotel itself is very poor. It’s tired and in need of maintenance. The rooms are not in good order and the bathrooms feel very grubby. Breakfast offer was really poor.

Clean budget hotel as none of the facilities are open which isn’t advertised

Lovely staff on reception. There is a bar area with comfortable seating and we felt very welcome. We were given a huge room which was spotlessly clean as was all the hotel which was very nice to see.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room cleaning wasn't as good as it should have been, they didn't clean the toilet or empty bins. I think they just made the bed. Otherwise the stay was fine.

Yes lovely room

Our stay was good overall and staff were friendly. We originally booked a ground floor room but we found out that people use the rooms downstairs for dogs to stay. We aren’t dog owners and we have stayed in places where we can smell dogs. We upgraded to an executive suite which was spacious. My wife has limited mobility and the lift wasn’t working, we had some help with moving our things into our room, which was helpful but lots of stairs because the lift wasn’t working. Overall it was a good place to stay.

The room was clean and quiet. The linen and towels fresh. It goes down from there. The fabric of the hotel is tired and the design dates from the 1980s. The carpark is depressing and even a homeless person decided to camp next door in the smokery carpark.

Everything was great at my first stay at the Bentley. I did self check in on my journey down and when I arrived the reception lady (Sophie) was nice, friendly and efficient, I paid with my credit card, received my keys and was soon up in my room. The room was large but a wee bit dated and tired looking but the bed was great. The heating radiators looked outdated but they worked efficiently and the room was always warm and cosy. The bathroom was clean and I've never stayed in a hotel room that had so much water pressure and hotness!! Wow it was scalding until you got used to it. My room shower control wasn't very good and hard to control but once used to it, it was great. Nice hand / body wash too. I ate once in the dining room and once in the bar area, both were great with plenty choice and everything tasted lovely. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, brilliant selection. Unfortunately the spa was closed under renovation but the gym was newly refurbished and was brilliant! I never tried the Weatherspoons across the road but I did try Hickory's next door, I thought it was fantastic. I will certainly be back to stay.

room was clean but a little tired. Heating was via AC unit that took ages to warm up and also very noisy. Good breakfast.
