We had a pleasant stay. The grounds was beautiful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We stayed in the west wing section with a view to the garden. The rooms are not large in size with a double bed. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection to start the day, with a buffet style continental breakfast and a cooked meal also available on demand. The overall experience was great value for money for a unique experience. One thing worth noting for international travellers is that air conditioning isn't a standard amenity in many UK hotels, so it's always worth checking before you book if that's important to you. A fan would have been appreciated during the warmer weather, which may have been available on request. We didn't bother. Also, don't assume there will be a bar fridge in the room, as refrigerators are not commonly provided either. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay without the extras, this is a solid choice.

The castle was beautiful and a great stay for our group. Since there is no air conditioning, the rooms were very hot, making sleep difficult so having proper fans for guest rooms would have been appreciated. Other than that, the hotel and grounds were beautiful.

Plenty of parking. Wonderful views, Lovely large bed. Staff polite and attentive. Great breakfast and evening meal. Building stunning.

We were in the annex but did not enjoy this area the room is very basic and the heating did not work we have had better appointed rooms in less expensive hotels .the front of the hotel is in good decorative order but if you have a walk round the castle there are areas which are in a poor state of repair,when we walked around the grounds we were disappointed to note a lot of dog poo had just been left lying about this is something the care taker should be aware off . Breakfast was ok but the coffee did not stay hot in the pot or cups Don’t think we would stay here again .

Walworth castle exceeded our expectations. From start to finish it was fantastic and our daughter enjoyed her birthday stay. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The castle itself is beautiful and the grounds are all very well maintained. The dungeon and play park was a hit with our girls and they’re still talking about it a week later. Our only regret was staying for just one night! A little happy birthday message left in the room for our daughter was a nice touch, thank you!

Another fantastic 2 night stay in glorious weather.. added bonus was the Bank Holiday Garden Party & BBQ !

Good overnight stay. Food good.

Superb property. The room we had was massive. Very large sleigh bed. Raised platform with a double ended bath in the bedroom. Beautiful oak flooring on the platform and really nice thick carpet in the bedroom. The en suite had a large walk in shower and was all new and clean feeling. The grounds were lovely. Nice walk round, rope swing obviously designed for brides and grooms. Sheep in the field next door. Staff friendly. Classly and well kept. Can highly recommend.

Our second stay at Walworth. its a lovely place to stay, beautiful grounds to walk around. Room was lovely, bathroom clean. Staff very helpful.

Annex rooms are basic. Don't expect much in term of decor. It's a castle after all. It's good and cosy. But everything else outside the room is great. Quite, beautiful and relaxing landscape, which is worth much more than a modern comfy room. Staff is great.

Jeg har utfordring med å gi dette hotellet en dekkende tilbakemelding fordi mine opplevelser var sterkt sprikende; Jeg bodde her 1 natt ifm biltur i England. Førsteinntrykket - både fra bookingsiden (Hotels.com) og anleggets utside var meget bra 👍👍👍. Når jeg kom inn i "resepsjonen" begynte "slottsfølelsen" å avta - og den forsvant helt når jeg ankom mitt rom i vestvingen. Det hadde grei størrelse og var komfortabelt, men var helt ordinært og ganske spartansk. Badet kan best beskrives på samme måte. De fleste forventede fasiliteter var tilgjengelig; - TV - Vannkoker med kaffe, kjeks og te - WIFI Alt var godt rengjort Fellesrommene inkl spisesalen var det ikke mye "slottsfølelse" over. Jeg spiste både middag og frokost (inkludert) på hotellet. Middagsmenyen bestod primært av typisk pubfood retter, men maten smakte meget bra 😋😋😋 Frokost servicen var særdeles treg - det tok mer enn 45 min fra jeg ankom til den ble servert og da med avvik ift det jeg hadde bestilt. Flere av de opplistede valgmulighetene i bufetmenyen (f eks ost og skinke) var ikke tilgjengelig, men det jeg fikk servert smakte meget godt 😋😋😋 Inntrykket av personalet sprikte også mye - noen var hyggelige og serviceinnstilte, mens andre virket særdeles lite interesserte. Parkering skjer på hotellets område (Inkludert) Det er lite å oppleve / tilgjengelig i nærområdet - en er følgelig avhengig av transport.

The room was a bit dated and tired but it was very clean. The location and building stunning.

Plentiful, easy parking - just enter reg on check in. Great helpful polite staff, from reception to dinner to breakfast. Small room with smaller bathroom - but perfectly fine for 1 night. Room 12 west wing - the heating/radiator/pipes make a dreadful loud humming, goes off at 9pm thankfully but does come back on at 6am (despite staff saying 7am) - not ideal if you value a lie in!
