Comfy room and good breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly and good on site free parking.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Sam, who seemed to be everywhere, and the hotel grounds were picturesque and well kept. The food at the wedding we attended was excellent. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the shower worked well and was a good temperature. Our only slight issue was the shower screen, which was not fully watertight, resulting in water on the floor in the bathroom, which needed hand towels to mop up the excess water, We enjoyed our stay.

Utmärkt meny i baren och väldigt trevlig ung (25?) man som arbeta många långa pass under kvällar och under vår vistelse (4-7/5 2026) som hade en kompis som var svensk och gjorde allt för att vi skulle trivas, var väldigt serviceminded. Den unga (20?) tjejen som arbetade ihop med en annan ung man (20?) dagtid var bara tramsiga och borde få lära sig att vara respektfulla mot sina gäster

A pleasant and relaxed stay in this comfortable hotel. Staff very attentive. Good a la carte dinner and substantial breakfast. Quiet surroundings. Shame there wasn't better views of the grounds but that is the layout of the house.

Checked in very late, like 30 minutes into tomorrow late. The guy booked me in and even poured me a Guinness after more than 7 hours traveling. Breakfast was Awesome and Everything was hot but not destroyed. Still had hot Yolk with my Saysage (This simple Something is something some 5 star hotels can’t get right). Random booking, won’t be my last! Thank you Mere Hotel.

A good breakfast cooked to order during the week. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar inviting well stocked with a good bar menue.

Some bits a bit tired but friendly staff and was a good priced option for staying near the airport. Chips in the restaurant were class!

Cold room. Had to turn radiator on. Arrived late and was not welcoming. Got straight into bed.

A nice little find when the hotels were full in Manchester due to Oasis gig! Nice king size bed and a dark room with good curtains to block out light. Room has everything you need. Parking is on site, free and ample. The grounds are beautiful too, which I saw more of next day and spent some time before setting off on my journey. Room was traditional but needs some attention, broken lamp, television not tuned in. Good tea tray with glass bottled water (sustainable) and Border biscuits! Comfortable stay and would stay again!

I had an enjoyable stay, the staff were friendly, the service excellent, the food good but let down by old furniture and decor in the room. I would stay again, if a better room was available.

Wet happy

Lobby, gardens and front of house lovely...room smelt musty, t.v. ariel faulty, no picture. Wallpaper coming off wall in parts and marks on paper where other guest threw tea bags into bin and i guess missed. Breakfast, food was luke warm, no water for a cup of tea.. Overall not worth 140.00 for one night

There aren’t enough words to say how very lovely and charming our stay was. From the staff to the grounds to the accommodations and food everything was spot on! We will definitely be returning at for a longer period of time.

I stay here quite often. Having stayed in most hotels in the UK i can say this hotel is one i am happy to return to. Staff friendly, room plus half board is great value and the food is great.
