Beautiful calm beach. Jungle garden property. Big rooms with garden patio. Nice pool area recommend having car to see area. Close to Hermosa and Coco beach also 1 hour drive to Rincon Area and 20 minute drive to airport. Cons-lounge/bar area could be set up to be more inviting. Could include bar seating, lively music, drink specials. Would also recommend having paddle boards for the calm water.

Such a lovely place. Low season and we had it almost all to ourselves. All the staff so friendly and attentive - Andrea, Sergio, Daniela - we felt like we were family - they greeted us by name, knew what wanted to drink with breakfast (which is included!), were ready to take care of whatever we needed. Food good - although a little pricey, but that is what you expect at a nice resort. There are a couple of places you can walk to (did for one lunch), but mainly just ate at their nice outdoor restaurant (has an air-conditioned section if you like, but we found al fresco rather enjoyable). Paddleboards and kayaks for a modest fee (we did the latter). Decent beach you can walk for a couple miles on, without much in the way of waves so easy to swim. And nice and warm water (late Sept). Howler monkeys, iguanas and birds galore all right there. And beautiful gardens. If you want to do a tour, while you are there, go with Freddy - he is amazing, particularly if you like wildlife. Did his rainforest and volcano tour - amazing and learned so much. His assistant Meme will get you set up. Pura Vida!

Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! Grounds are nice, location is great and the rooms were clean and comfortable! Can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay memorable and enjoyable!

Es un hotel de playa y fui los dos días que estuve a la playa y no había nada para sentarse y menos para tomar el sol. Nada es lo que había para permanecer en la playa.

Desde el momento en que llegamos, la atención fue impecable. El personal siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar con una sonrisa, y se notaba el interés genuino por que nuestra estancia fuera perfecta. Las instalaciones estaban limpias, bien cuidadas y con todos los servicios funcionando a la perfección. El desayuno fue variado y de excelente calidad, y las áreas comunes transmitían un ambiente acogedor y relajante. La ubicación es ideal, cerca de todo pero lo suficientemente tranquila para descansar. Definitivamente recomendaría este hotel y no dudaría en volver. ¡Gracias por una experiencia tan agradable!

Had a wonderful stay. If you are looking for any recommendations talk with Daniela she is wonderful and very helpful. Jeylor was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

From the minute we walked into the hotel, we were treated like queens and kings. The entire staff was attentive, kind and friendly at all times. We had a dilemma with our rental car company and the staff at Papagayo Golden Palms helped us by shuttling us to our tours. The entire staff, Mauricio, Natalie, JeJey, Andrea, Sergio and a few more were great! I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!! The premises were beautiful, quiet, serene and very clean. Treat yourself to the wonderful hotel!

I recently stayed at Papagayo Golden Palms and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure we had everything we needed. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens and a very peaceful atmosphere — you can tell they take great pride in keeping it in top condition. The food was also a highlight, with fresh, delicious options that added to the whole experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great service, beautiful surroundings, and good food, I highly recommend staying here!

The place is dated but location is interesting. The staff were wonderful. The beach is dark sand but nice. Water very warm and calm in bay. The rooms need updating but were fine.

I really enjoyed the regular appearance of a troop of monkeys and the many colorful birds.

We liked the property layout, view, location and grounds. We had a lovely welcome from the staff. We didn’t like the menu variety or value for money.

One of the best experiences we have had staying at a resort! The minute we got there we were treated like royalty! you will not find a better more attentive and friendly staff anywhere! The place is beautiful,quiet,clean and welcoming. It was perfect for us to getaway from the rat race for a week and and enjoy the surroundings the beautiful pool and the wildlife especially the mango tree full of monkeys!! They have 1 restaurant on the premises and the food is delicious!!! Again we would not hesitate to go back. The staff is one of the biggest reasons for that. Every single one of them we can actually call friends by the end of our trip! We were tired of the "all inclusives" with the sometimes loud and sometimes obnoxious crowds you can get at times! This was the best place we could have picked to stay! The staff was absolutely outstanding with their service and were so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent. The rooms were exceptionally clean and stayed cool all day. We walked the beach and spent lots of time at the pool. It was not over crowded like other places where you can’t even find a chair. In the pool you get to see the monkeys in the mango treee right above you taking naps and eating mangos. It was magical! Breakfast is free and was so good too. I will definitely go back I miss it already! Thank you to - Jeilor, Sergio, Federico, Edwin, Roland, Hailey, Andrea and all the staff that were so fun!

We were welcomed with drinks and cool towels. It was such a quiet property during this time of the year! The landscaping of the property was beautiful & colorful with the walkways paved with florals, definitely gives a tropical vibe! So much lush greenery. 10-15 min away from playa de coco & zi lounge; about 30min from the airport in the early AM hours. We had no issues getting an uber at 530am. Hotel has on site restaurant. Roland was the best; we ordered ribs& fries, short rib, salmon tartar, bbq wings, shrimp plate and spinach ravioli & left completely stuffed with leftovers. *strawberry margarita was the crowd pleaser for drinks There is also a pool with semi-private beach and equipment available to use (kayak, paddleboard), sun beds and hammocks overlooking the water. They also offer spa treatments on site. The room & restroom were spacious (shower was huge), with a living room area and private patio enclosed with tall plants for privacy. Everyone was so friendly and helpful during our short stay here. We can’t wait to come back !
