Really friendly and helpful staff, in all areas Incredibly impressed with the space / size of room and particularly with the quality of he triple glazing - our room was right on the top corner, with windows on 2 sides. WE made the foolish error of leaving them open the first night we stayed, which meant we were awoken by the karaoke bar, late night revellers and the seagulls. HOWEVER, once we closed the windows we couldn't hear any of them It's an old building, and this is evident in that some of the decor is a little dated and tired, which has been reflected in my rating, but everything worked, was sufficiently clean and I'll be very happy to stay here again. Good choice of options for breakfast.

The stay was 'OK' until going for breakfast which was very poor: poor selection, bowl with melted butter, poor selection of cereal, cold cooked breakfast, dinning room which was in much need of udating

The room Keys kept not working which is annoying. The room had one mug no glass for bedtime water which was mean. The TV barely worked and the mattress was old and rickety - shame as it’s a lovely old building. Breakfast not great for the price. Bit shabby all round

We go there a few times a yr. Love it town 2 minutes away beach the same ,the staff are very helpful.meals are good. But weather last week didn't help only table fans in room that was throwing out Hot air. So a bit uncomfortable. But love the Hotel.

Avoid This Hotel If You Value Sleep! We have enjoyed several stays at this hotel in previous years. It is an historic 3-star Georgian hotel, built in early 19th century, so no double-glazing and air-con here! However do not stay here now, if you want a guaranteed sleep! We stayed overnight on a Friday and suffered blaring music from a neighbouring club. We are not party poopers, and understand a seaside town in summer will be busy with people enjoying themselves, but not until 4am! The street immediately outside the hotel was packed with people shouting and screaming, there were even girls lying in the middle of the road. The windows offered no soundproofing against the street chaos as the heavy music and shouting did not stop until 4am. I certainly wasn't going to get dressed at that time to go down 2 floors to complain. In the morning we were told numerous complaints had been made against the club, to no avail. We were also told that we should have asked for a quiet room when we booked! Does anyone want to be kept awake until 4am? Clearly the Premier Inn's good night guarantee does not apply here! So no bed, and a hearty breakfast was also then off limits, as we just wanted to drive home and have a decent sleep, so we simply had cups of coffee and fruit The buffet did look first class too.. The staff had been very helpful, but after complaining we did expect some compensation; a reduced offer for a future stay or a partial refund perhaps; but sadly we got nothing.

Great location, steps from the seafront. Clean rooms, friendly & helpful staff. Ate in the bar downstairs, excellent food & menu. Car parking onsite a huge bonus. Thank you to all at Royal for a great stay.

The weather has been unbearable they only have table fans not good enough for this weather. Could do with ceiling fans to help.Other than that we love the place we find it comfortable we go every 3 months every thing is on the door step Town a couple minutes walk the sands the same.good food.But the menu has been altered since we went march, more choice then.

Was excellent value for a 3 star it had 3 car parking which was a massive help and the hotel was perfectly situated near the sea front.

Generally very good experience as usual, excellent housekeeping staff. It would be useful to provide a small fridge especially in this warm weather.breakfast, more fruit options could be provided for breakfast, as could maybe a choice of an omelette or fish option.

The Royal gave us everything we required for a great weekend in Weston Super-mare. I would advise anyone to use this hotel.

Hotel very dated need a lick of paint also needs refreshing up.Breakfast very nice.

Cleanliness throughout the hotel was first class and the room was most welcoming .

Breakfast was really good, well cooked, hot and very tasty. The staff were very helpful. Location spot on. We were on an end room over the car park and there were security lights on a timer , so they shone into the room . There were blinds but didn't shut out the light. I would definitely go again, loved our week there .

Did not have any meals. Room was excellent except for steps down to bathroom. House keeping was excellent with tea coffee and biscuits topped up each day also towels changed when required. Staff were cheerful and friendly. Only concern was sometimes noise from large vent pipe at end of the hotel. Would definitely use hotel again but ask for room at other end of the hotel.
