Although the room in itself was ok, the place is badly managed. The restaurant had virtually no food, so we had to go elsewhere, late at night… Breakfast was equally poor. There was no soap in the shower, shower was leaking. Room had very thin curtains, so there was light in the room all night long. Dogs in the vicinity were barking all night long. When we arrived, the windows of the room were open and the lights on, so there were mosquitoes in the room. No insect repellent provided. We got stung several times before our own repellent did the job. The water in one of the pools was green. Staff couldn’t answer basic, but vital questions.

Accueil et sécurité satisfaisants. Bon petit déjeuner. Mais fenêtre de chambre sans vue car donnant sur un couloir.

it was okay

We chose this hotel for a one-night stop-over as it was only a few hours from the airport and on the way to Kruger. We arrived much earlier than official check-in time and were delighted that our room was ready and we were able to check-in straight away. We were even more delighted that we were able to book a slot for a massage on the same day at very short notice.

Hôtel idéal pour une étape vers le Kruger. Belle chambre (qui demanderait plus d’eclairage), execellét breakfast , joli petit jardin et très bon accueil

Ein hübsches Hotel auf dem Weg vom Krüger Nationalpark zum Flughafen Johannesburg. Das Personal sehr freundlich - manchmal etwas überfordert. Eine schöne Gartenanlage im Innenhof, die den Motelcharacter etwas aufpeppt. Die Zimmer sehr hellhörig und in der Nacht wahr scheinbar in irgendeinem Zimmer Party. Ständiges Geklopfe an Türen, Geschrei vor den Zimmern. Zusätzlich war das Doppelbett nicht wirklich bequem. Jedesmal, wenn mein Mann sich bewegte, schaukelte das ganze Bett mit und ich war wach. Noch nie so schlecht geschlafen auf unserer Reise. Frühstück war gut.

J’ai trouvé sans problème avec mon GPS ; l’entree du parking est sécurisée ; une petit jus de fruit bien frais vous attend à l’accueil; l’accueil a été très sympa sauf que le réceptionniste m’a fait payer le petit déjeuner alors qu’il etait compris dans l’offre que j’avais choisi ; dés que j’ai pu consulter ma réservation sur internet le réceptionniste a reconnu son erreur La chambre était confortable mais située au premier étage ; on m’a aidé à monter mes bagages ; le dîner était correcte à 180 rands et le petit déjeuner copieux et varié ; cet hôtel de Middleburg est une excellente étape pour aller visiter le vieux village de Botshabelo

Peaceful rest

The super friendly staff was able to accomodate our late night request for dinner, provide a nice spacious and clean room, tidied up every day. We forgot two charger and they manager to take them and ship back to Italy. Breakfast is good and have a lot of parking space! good dining option nearby (try italian restaurant!)

We just needed something on our way from Jo'burg to the East and did not expect much, but then it was very nice staying there and a pity to leave next morning. The hotel is a nice older building, definitely charming.
