Tolle Lage, super Ausblick aufs Meer - mit Sichtungen von Orcas. Hochwertiges Frühstück, sehr gutes Abendessen.

Scenic location; room clean and well appointed. Staff very courteous and helpful. Great meals in the restaurant.

Property in very poor condition. Hardly any sound insulation. Showers leaking. Dilapidated bathrooms. Manager Ana seems to treat staff very poorly.

Jeg havde nok forventet mere af et Fosshotel. Meget smukke fællesarealer men værelserne var meget små og slidte og man kunne høre meget larm fra gangen og restauranten. Vi er Gold members men det kunne de ikke se i receptionen, så de fordele der skulle følge med vores reservation var bare ikke mulige. De virkede heller ikke synderligt interesserede i at løse dette issue. Så et ophold i smukke omgivelser fra naturen men de kunne godt løfte niveauet lidt i forhold til hvad man bliver stillet i udsigt.

Fosshotel Hellnar sits in a stunning natural setting, but the hotel experience was surprisingly modest for a 3‑star property. Coming from Fosshotel Myvatn, the contrast in quality was striking. The bathroom was extremely small — the sink was so tiny that even filling the electric kettle became an impossible challenge. The tissue box in the bathroom was empty, and the room overall felt far more basic than what the hotel description suggests. Breakfast was acceptable, but nothing memorable. A very normal stay that didn’t justify the expectations set by the Fosshotel brand.

Excellent and friendly staff, very personable and relaxed. Such a lovely setting! And the restaurant was fabulous, both for buffet breakfast and romantic dinner.

We checked in a day early after an abysmal experience at our previous hotel - and we’re glad we did! Beautiful location, comfortable beds, spotless room, exceptional staff, and amazing breakfasts and dinners. This was a truly memorable place.

One of the most beautiful hotel that have stayed in. Love it for the hospitality and views are breathtaking especially the sea+morning sunrise. Receptionists were very helpful and friendly - they knocked on our door to let us know on the aurora sighting as was awaiting it. Recommend to stay 2 nights or more as our 1 night was too short. Breakfast was lovely & night having a cold Iceland beer was great! Thank you so much for the experience & warm welcome!

Room was cosy, spotlessly clean, staff extremely helpful and accommodating.

Location is amazing, great view, nice deck, however the walls are quite thin. I could hear the people in the room next to me rustle the sheets, no exaggeration. That’s my only complaint.

Beautiful location on Snaefesnes. Amazing views. Room (we stayed in a cabin) isn’t large, but was well-appointed and very comfortable. Great included breakfast. We also enjoyed our supper at the hotel restaurant.
